Hi everyone!
I have a quick question for those with more experience wearing H greys. I recently obtained a 24/24 mini in etain evercolor w/ PHW but I am hesitating to keep it for the following reasons:
1) I already have a C18 in gris meyer epsom w/ RGHW and I worry the colors might be too similar?
2) Could etain+phw be too cool/dark to wear in summer?
I really like the model and this was the color that suits me most out of the options I was offered (beton, yucca, and gold). And if I didn't have a bag in gris meyer already I am sure I wouldn't have any hesitation.
Any thoughts from those who have multiple greys in their collections?
Thanks for reading!

Hello @tmk_fr. If you look up my earlier post #74, I had posted a side-by-side comparison of the 2 colours, gris Meyer and gris etain in evercolour leather. My mini 24/24 is in the gris Meyer colour and my halzan 25 is in the gris etain colour. I have used both bags extensively throughout the year.

My view is, for the 2 bags mentioned by you, although these colours may look similar, they each present a different look given that the bags are in different models, leathers and hardware.

You probably have to ask yourself as to whether the mini 24/24 in gris etain colour sparks enough joy for you to use it throughout the year. You can consider tying a brighter coloured twilly on the handle of the mini 24/24 to wear it in the summer months. Alternatively, you can also consider using a multi-coloured sangle bag strap with the mini 24/24 - I have done this with my mini 24/24 before but I can't seem to locate any pictures of the bag with a sangle bag strap at the moment.

Dear @faye1883,
Thank you for sharing your experience wearing both colors year round. I hadn't thought about using a more colorful strap for the warmer months, but that is an excellent idea! ❤️

P.S.
Of course, while I am busy agonizing about whether I should have two grey bags in my collection, luck has it that I pick up a K25 in Graphite too 🤣
Pro (and kind of expensive) hack though - I can now use the strap from the 24/24 mini to wear the K25 crossbody comfortably without buying another strap! The HW is different, but since the strap's buckle is behind me it's not too noticeable 👍 Yay! 🥳💖

Love it! Graphite (or charcoal, as you call it) is one of my favourite Hermès greys.

please share your gris pearl. I’m contemplating a Constance 18 in this color. What looks better with the gris pearl…palladium or gold hardware?
Very late response but this is my C18 in Gris perle with palladium hardware. I think it has more of a cool undertone so I like it better with palladium.

They are very similar colours to be honest. But I think Gris Meyer is slightly cooler than Etain. In certain lighting Gris Meyer can be a cooler tone green-ish grey. I think what makes it different is that your C18 is in Epsom and 24/24 is in Evercolour. I have 2 greys in my collection, a Gris Meyer Evelyne PM in Clemence and a Beton Evelyne TPM in Clemence, but those are very very different greys. Some may even say that Beton is not grey, it's a mix between light grey and light beige imo.

I'm hoping to give my wishlist to my SA during my next visit. I love dark greens and greys! Is vert de gris still being offered in bags or SLGs? If not, are there any colors that are similar?
Yes, I'm pretty sure Vert-de-Gris is still currently being offered in bags. I saw a B stamp (2023) B25 in Vert-de-Gris for sale, so it must be in production. Not sure if it is produced a lot as it is a unique colour, not a classic. I love the colour tho, I have a 32mm epsom belt in Vert-de-Gris and Blanc.

I was also surprised that colors like Craie and Beton are considered greys.
I mean ok I can kind of see Beton since it doesn't have yellowish undertones but to me Craie is more cream/beige. Love your Beton Evelyne TPM btw!
