I was offered a B30 Gris Meyer and found that it didn't have enough depth/shading/tonality (I don't really know how to describe these things); it was too clear a color for me. Had I been able to live with getting in and out of the Kelly Flat I would never have moved on from Ardoise in Swift; just glorious! (I found fiddling with that closure especially annoying.). I think a grey bag would be really useful given my wardrobe and so I wonder where Misty fits into the mix. I'm hoping someone posts a few comparison pics in the reference section....

Likewise - I feel like there’s a place for a B30 in Misty in my collection. It might sate my longing for the ever elusive Bleu Orage.

Me too with this Bleu Orage business!!!! I saw a bolide from the first issue and it has haunted me ever since! I’m hoping Misty will wrap up the Ardoise/Bleu Orage subject in one happy package.

I've been in store today to update my B25 wish colours - I've added Gris Meyer, Gris Misty, Etain, Vert de Gris, Vert Amande. Was not sure about Etoupe as I wanted day to night bag and wanted something slightly darker. They said that I'm limiting myself too much and won't get a wish fulfilled that way (that expires in 6 months) If I just wanted greys did I miss ant other greys? SA was pressuring to add other colours "to make sure I get the bag". Any thoughts?

SA said that Etain is not around at the moment as it's a "seasonal colour".

Your SA is correct. But lucky for you, Meyers and Misty are both very much around right now. I do agree with your SA that it is a very limiting wishlist but if medium gray is all you’ll accept, and if you’re okay with going through six months without a bag of a different color to show for it, then it’s good to stick to what you know you want.

I have both Meyer (Togo) and Etoupe (Epsom) if you want to see how they look to compare.

Can I ask, would you call this a limiting wishlist because some of these colours are not currently in production/are seasonal? What would you recommend to ask the SA in order to open up the chances of getting a bag? TIA!

Because many of her listed colors aren’t in production currently, she has essentially narrowed her request down to two specific bags. I think any wishlist with exactly two specs on it is pretty limited. Its much easier to fulfill a wishlist of “B25 any leather, any hardware, in a neutral color” than “B25 Togo GHW only in either Gold or Craie” for example.

Would you call it a dark version of Bleu Orage? There were a couple of blues that came out around the time of an earlier release of Orage (Tempete and Ocean I think) but they read more blue than grey IIRC. I’m interested in seeing more blue-ish greys or grey-ish blues. 😎

No. I think of bleu orage as a grayish green tinged blue. This is really a blue tinged medium to dark gray. I asked if the bag was ardoise or graphite. My SA double checked the tag and said Gris misty. It is not at all light or misty. Lol

Thanks! This is helpful for me. I was often told to be specific in size, colour, leather, etc. Then I would struggle to know which colours where is production at a given time in order to ask for bags that might actually come in.

I love blue grays too. Hoping for a gris misty soon!

The shade of gray that I own is Gris Etaşn in Togo. I use it with great affection.
