I’ve never made a purchase yet

I’m new to the brand too and have only been to the store in a “pressing nose up against the glass” kind of way!! I saw a few bags the last time, I’d love an Evelyne but am not sure how many they get in stock? Do you happen to know? There was only one on display last time, in red.

I've seen a few Evelyn's in stock. Never red though. It's worth while chatting to the SA's. If you are after something in particular it's possible that they may be able to get it in for you.

I recently popped in for a wee look and walked away with a beautiful red scarf in time for Valentine's Day. I had only started chatting to the SA (who was just lovely) about caring for my new Jige Elan. [emoji16]

The resulting conversation also resulted in my next purchase. I'm off to pick up my new Calvi in the next few days.
So it's worthwhile speaking to them with your wants and desires. [emoji6]

Has anyone been to the Glasgow store lately?
I would like to go and try on some of the 24mm belt kits (GHW or RGHW, I haven't decided which I prefer yet!). This will be my first H purchase, and haven't been to this store before so unsure if they will have a good selection of belt kits.

When I was last in just before Valentine's Day they had a few of the 24mm belt kits in stock.

I'll be in to pick up something in the next few days and will have a look for you. That's my exact next purchase to but I want palladium hardware.

Brilliant, thank you!

I won't be able to make it in until late next week anyway, so any intel is much appreciated [emoji3]

Thank you for taking the time to pass this info on, hope you enjoy your Calvi! It sounds like the SAs there are nice and helpful.

It’s my pleasure. I’ve learned so much from members here on TPF. It’s the least I can do to repay their kindness.

The SA’s are very helpful and knowledgable. I was a bit concerned about how they would be having had mixed experiences at other high end stores but I am pleased to say that they are lovely. I’m sure if you visit they would be happy to help you with your search for a red Evelyne.

I’ll post some pictures when I pick it up. I’ve bought a few pieces since late last year and I owe this thread a picture or two of my very fledgling collection. [emoji16][emoji7][emoji16]

I’m learning so much too, Tpf is such an amazing resource! Would love to see your pieces, looking forward to the photos!

I went in yesterday and they didn’t have a lot of belts at all. My SA says they haven’t had a delivery in a while.

They had some 24mm’s but mostly light coloured leathers (white, aqua blue etc). The one I looked at had a gold H.

They didn’t have any in my size at all and no black at all on display.

It’s possible that they might get a delivery in before you go but if that’s specifically what you are looking for it may be worth calling ahead so as you don’t have a wasted trip.

Good luck either way. I’d love to know how you get on.

Thank you so much for letting me know!

My fiance works in Glasgow city centre so I might ask him to pop in and ask what they have.. Even if they don't have the colour combo I want, I think it would be good to be able to try them on as im not sure if I would need an 80 or 85..

What they did have was a special belt with measurements on it. So you put it on and they can tell you which size you are. So I know what size I’ll get when I am buying.

So you would be able to be sized even if they didn’t have your combination in stock.

Might be worth a visit for that alone. Then request that they contact you when it does arrive.

That's brilliant, I didn't know that! Definitely worth a visit for that alone to ensure I get the right size for me.

It's so good to have someone like yourself on tPF to share info like this [emoji41]. Thank you again!

I'll keep the thread updated on what I end up with [emoji6]

You are very welcome. [emoji253]

It’s a pleasure chatting with fellow Hermès devotees that are local!!! That helps a lot with how things work and what is available.

Without the encouragement on here I might not have purchased at the boutique as it can be quite daunting. [emoji4]

This snow has absolutely knackered my chances of getting to Hermes any time this week!

I think I'm just gonna measure my hips and waist and try and figure out which one will fit me best..

Since I've been snowed in all day I've spent hours looking at H belts and jewellery [emoji944]️[emoji57][emoji23]
