thanks kozee.. don't know if you have been in Houston Herman and experience there. I have been there couple of time and the SA there kind of snooty so I was hoping to find another H store. too bad :-(

Hi ayc - I have been there - they are actually nice, except when they are swamped...sometimes when there are big conferences in town and busloads of people turn up - that is always tricky. Look for Kari or Adam there. They are the best.

Is it true Hermes wants to close all the franchise stores in the US? Someone mentioned this in another thread and I was wondering if it's true or just a rumor.

I haven't heard this, but they did stop the franchise store like Richards carry Hermes when they decided to open H store in the area. I like Franchise store bc they will still ship leather goods and most of them are tax free for me!!

I agree with Kozee. Houston was my store before I moved to Calgary and usually the SAs are very nice. Kari is great as is Franklin.

I hope not!! The store closest to me is a franchise. Perhaps they would just take it back for themselves? The store I'm referring to is Manhasset- I can't imagine that Hermes wouldn't take over that location even if they decided to no longer franchise it. And to be honest I don't see any advantage to the customer to the store being a franchise. It can actually be a hassle.

It was mentioned in this post. That's why I ask.

I am not 100% sure, but I think the H store in Holt Renfrew is owned by Hermes. My SA just did a country wide search for me and found 2 scarves I wanted in Toranto without deposit. They also have client record & quota system shared with other stores.
My SA explained to me the reason why they need deposit before worldwide search is because they are buying the item from other stores and they have to make sure you will purchase it....
Please correct me if I am wrong :)

I will be heading to Munich, Prague and Vienna in May.
How to find out which stores are the main stores and which are the franchise stores?

Anyone has any experience in scoring a B or a K in the above places mentioned.
