Does anyone know why Hermes is so much more expensive in Dubai when compared with the UK and US online prices? We have no VAT here yet! I bought a belt and leather bangle, then when I looked online later, I worked out I had spent approx $300 more than if I had shopped in UK!!
I was on the phone with a friend when she was at H somewhere in Europe and I was at the Dubai H. Some of the items were as mush as 50% more expensive

Dubai Mall are the worst in terms of CS .. George who's supposedly the leather goods manager is the worst person to deal with .. Elena (store manager) super nosed up and NEVER on the floor.. ONLY if ur a VVVIP or a shaikha/princess .. im glad she's leaving and being replaced once the new store opens in Feb'18 ..
Mall Of Emirates store is quite new ..(less than a year old) .. staff are super nice and welcoming .. their store manager (Roman) ..such an amazing french gentle man ...
Burjuman is more believed to serve the local clientele .. also another pleasant store .. Julia (manager) such a sweet heart ..
obtaining a B/K/C or any most sought after bag can be "facilitated" by 1. building a good purchase history 2. being loyal to a certain store/SA 3. "connections" ..

The only way to ensure a super customer service is if the main hermes paris pull the franchise license from the middle east retailer which is doing a horrible job . The market is powerful here i wonder how much sales they lost because of the lack of knowledge and poor attitude of the sales assistant..... plus lets not how the price fluctuate one month an ostrich wallet is for 3000 dollar and the month after it jumps to 4000 dollar then after it jumps back to 3500. And they keep saying they are allowed to raise prices once a year. Save your money, build a relationship in with an abroad based sale assistant and email back and forth for your needs best bet. Atleast i spend my money where its appreciated and my maison knowledge is respected .
I was nicely treated at the H shop in Dubai mall. I bought a 90 scarf and got a packet of scarf tying cards and was invited to an event that unfortunately took place after my vacation. The only H thing I was wearing was a 140 silk since I was having two nights stop over there on my vacation at the Seychelles and did not want to bring a lot of luxurious things on vacation.
Dubai Mall will have the first Flagship store in the middle east opening up in Feb/March2018 ..

Would be traveling to Dubai next and would like to know the odds of scoring a kelly, birkin or Constance. Read thru the thread and don’t seem to see much infos on the Constance. Understand that it’s really tough to get a Constance even in Paris. Always get rejected when asking for it. Would also like to know the current price of a b30 and k28. Thanks so much!

No chance. Dubai receives a very limited number, and whatever they receive, they reserve for their own clients. One must have really good local connections to score one.
And be prepared that priced in H here are ~40-50% higher than in Europe.
Interesting. I've been to DM, MOE, and even Burjuman before it closed. I found the treatment was the best in Burjuman, followed by MOE then DM.

I visited the store, I went with the hope of getting to know a good SA to maintain a relation with. However the one who was assisting me was clueless when I asked him what is the name of the Reilly design he said why do you mean ? The name is twirly. I then pointed the name on the tag lol
I went to the upstairs Home department honestly it’s anazing they have all types of upholstery fabrics for curtains cushions sofas that you can order simply beautiful.
Just wished the staff downstairs were better trained when I walked in the store was empty and all the SA were huddled in a group chatting until that man came to assist me although he wasn’t very helpful.
