Hello everyone! I'm not on here so often these days but I've just taken delivery of the gris chiné cw of Tulipomanie (CW 04 ) and, after a quick search, couldn't find any posts about it on TPF so thought it may be useful as reference for someone possibly considering it.
Sending hugs from Scotland.

And it's finally here. Very annoying as it was at the Fedex facility on Monday but they just let it sit there until today. I was worried after @LKBNOLA posted it and the reaction was a bit...well...anemic. But I never had expectations of this piece having brightness. Instead, I expected an elegant and almost understated classic. That's exactly what I got. I love it and I'm quite enthusiastic about wearing it.

I've done close-ups as well as a few modelling pics with different ties as someone mentioned earlier they were struggling with finding ways to wear it. LKB and I have very different colouring, so it looks quite different on me. My skin is a fair neutral to warm (depending on season), with light eyes and light blonde hair (about an 8.5/9). The blonde is also neutral in tone. I think if this is your style and your colouring is neutral to warm, it should look quite good on you. The caramel is neutral with a warmer contrast hem. The tulips are deep and rich, with true navy, anthracite, and those beautiful white tips. Please note the photos are taken in full on day light and the weather is hideous so the light is cold and unflattering (IMO). Modelling shots done in a camel/beige dress (which, coincidentally, matches the background) but this also looks great with black (I threw it over a black cardi coat). If you love neutrals, this will fit right in.

The first photo (closeup with tag) really shows the richness of this piece.

On black (much better IRL, the direct daylight - which you can see creates a wash over the photo by looking at the cardigan, which is normally a deep black - ruins it...but it still a great pairing):

Some modelling pics with different looks (I've got no makeup here, so with a splash of more colour on my face it would be even better):

Wow! Congratulations-- I think this is stunning on you @julian.f but then you yourself are so beautiful and your coloring is perfect for this elegant piece. I agree with you 100% on the inherent elegant beauty of the colorway and the matte blanc tips on the tulips are lovely on this particular cw. You have paired it gorgeously in your mod shots and I am sure it will be a much loved and often worn piece. I have a few GTs that meet your "elegant understated" description and I love them well. I love this design so much and I wish it had looked as lovely on me!

Thank you so much, lovely scarfies, for your feedback and compliments (I blush)! It is so nice when we click with a piece and I 100% agree that this is an extremely successful neutral that will be worn time and time again. It is elegant and yet so easy to dress down. We have a saying here, when translated into English, that goes: there's a lid for every pot. This is likely the lid to my FW24 pot...there's still the brown toned Orphee. But my sincere wish was that H gave us a bit more choice when it comes to colours. Every so often, I find myself looking back on previous seasons - especially 10+ years ago - and there seemed to be a wider breadth of choice and variety per design and per season. Nowadays, the palette seems very regimented and on repeat, causing many of us fall to the wayside. We desperately wish to find a match, but we cannot. I'm just happy I was able to find something lovely this season (SS24 was a wash).

It's gorgeous on you, very elegant! I love that the hem gives it a little nudge into challenging territory but not so much that it's something you have to fight. Great choice, enjoy!

Totally agree. Well said.
I also have been going back to the 10+ year old silks as they are so much more color varied. It’s like the H colorists had more energy back then or more creativity and now it’s just the same color families, across seasons even. In what I suppose is an effort to keep costs down.

I agree that the cw are challenging lately (at least for me).

And we have that saying too! Are you Dutch speaking by any chance 😊

Thank you for sharing! I received this one too, and although I am probably going to return, it is a lovely colourway!
