The mood changes with each colorway with cw03 gris/parme/menthol serving as the neutral of the bunch. The menthol unicorn can add that pop if highlighted or quietly disappear if not. The lines created by the crystals may not be everyone's cup of tea, which is quite alright. There are other scarves out there. Here's a flat photo for anyone interested:

Absolutely fabulous, great combo and looks amazing on you!

Another swoon here. Beautiful green!

Thanks for the full flat photo of the grey La vallee. Would you be able to share some more mod shots? I really like this one

I tried on the La Vallee de Cristal silk scarf in the boutique yesterday (rose and gris), found them to be very underwhelming and don't look nice when tied-up. Not sure what the fuss is about. Is there something more significant about La Vallee de Cristal that I need to know ?
It sounds like you just don’t care for it, I have many I don’t care for each season (thank goodness!)- I absolutely adore this scarf, the Rose is perfect for my coloring and my bag collection and the corners are interesting without lots of blank space. There are plenty of scarves that leave us meh, for me meh is more traditional, or with a big border, or most florals by themselves. Maybe this is your Meh :P
tbh I'm not a huge fan, either. I do think it's better in the colorful cws than the gris (esp. the green). Part of the appeal has probably been the wait/anticipation! plus the unicorn.
Actually the wait bugged me, as it was the only scarf I wanted this season and unicorn or not this baby was coming home to me! When a scarf hits all my sweet spots, matches my coloring, preference, wardrobe, bags etc it’s a definite yes! I think it’s to easy to get caught up in “what does everyone else see that I don’t?” when some scarves really grab so many and there’s a buzz.

I found myself doing that with the Clair de Lune shawl in black - it’s lovely, but I don’t wear cashmere much as I run warm constantly. It looks great on those of you that got it, but it would be a silly frivolous purchase for me - can’t wear, too big to display. And yet I kept wondering if I should get the black one as H doesn’t do as many black and whites. 🙄🤓 Tpf will do that to us!!

Sharing another Vallee de Cristal 🦄 modshot because why not! Going for warmth today with a weave knot. View attachment 5902714

Editing to say that I’d originally thought this one wouldn’t work as well “more tied” but I’m pleased with the result. Very obsessed with the corners!
You look fabulous in your VdC!!!

The colorful CWs are more appealing - as it is not the design per se, but the genius color rendering that gives this scarf an edge. I would argue that it is not a unisex design, and probably has more appeal to a younger clientele due its geometric/"sharp" print. It is meant to be a color accent and would call for a rather monochrome outfit to tone down the color burst and prevent one from looking like an abstract painting.

Having said that, it is totally fine not to like something - the beauty is that there is something for everyone:)

I hadn't thought about this being one of the rare scarves this season whose design extends all the way to the edges. Like you, I don't like blank, boring corners, and I think lots of others feel the same way!

Hiya! Fell in love with this beauty in Paris and brought it home. Looking forward to highlighting the other side next.
LOVE this cw on you! and, considering for myself. yet, have not been able to find it in a store in Nyc... Would you say it's true to color saturation displayed on your ms and / Hermes.com? I've tried other CWs and had to return. So, tired of a game / waiting for refunds
