If you are in doubt and your budget isn’t limitless, then go ahead and return it. It is a lot of money for something you have reservations about. It is hard not to get lost in the chase (we oftentimes want what our neighbors have - “just because”) - but not all designs are for everyone. It depends on our complexion, age, coloring, stature, lifestyle, personal prohibitions, etc. I personally can’t wear 90s with small flowery details (while 140s work perfectly), or will not wear anything with sculls or bones. I have a friend who will not wear anything with dogs (oh well!) and so on and so forth:smile: We are all different and one scarf doesn’t fit all:smile:)

There are plenty of other neutral goodies on the resale market so the world doesn’t stop on Claire de Lune:smile: check neutral CWs of Zenobie, Act III, Nothing but a dreamer, Cavaliers du Caucase has a beautiful neutral CW, plumes en Fete.. the choices are endless. Good luck.
Thank you for your kind and wise words dear @Ashanti_Rose I think you are right, it’s most probably a mix of liking the shawl and FOMO. Will have a look at the other scarfs you proposed. Thanks again!

Dear scarfies,

I have recently ordered the CdL in camel and I have to say I am completely in love with the color and main theme - but I completely dislike the stars on me. They are quite playful which doesn’t fit my style. Still I really like the cw… Does anyone know if there is a similar design available but without stars? I am really torn as I love it but am not sure I will manage to always tie it in a way which hides the stars…

It is a beautiful shawl but if you are not 100% happy, I would return as well. We all have our preferences and stars apparently are not for you. Something else will come along your way that you will love a 100%.

Or you could try to put it away for a few days, and then try it on again. Try to listen to what you feel at that moment. If it is not 100% joy or contentment, I would pass…

I do not know a lot of past editions or any recent camel cw, but I do feel this seasons Zouaves bandana shawl has somewhat of a same vibe. The brown CW could maybe be worth trying out?

I think this cw looks really lovely on you. I wish this scarf design had not been based on what looks like a corn maze drawing. When the scarf is on that maze is more apparent. But here in this photo the maze isn’t as apparent. I think the stars are subtle and there aren’t as many of them.

Thank you both! I have decided to return it and see if I gonna miss it - I will be visiting my local store in December and January so there’s still plenty of time to buy it in case I regret my decision.

Thanks to everyone for sharing your thoughts, it’s very much appreciated!

Feeling very frustrated that Vallée de Cristal is still not available in the UK. Anyway, I just wanted to distract myself so wandered on to eBay...

It’s on there! At £1000!!!
I know, same. It’s been a few weeks now that it’s available in other countries. I just hope that it does eventually show up because it is possible that it doesn’t go on sale online at all just like the Jungle Love Stamped moussies from last season.

To all European ladies waiting for "La Vallée de Crystal" to appear on the website:
I do not know when LVdC is going to show up on the website, but it is for sure sold in the European Hermès stores. Just give a call to the client's service and they will arrange a distant purchase for you with the store in your country that is holding your favourite colourway.

Good idea. I’ll try that, thanks.

I have never been able to buy from a store as I am virtually housebound and cannot travel. So, I have only used the website - wouldn’t know what to do!
