Such a good example, @LKBNOLA! Using my "squint test", they almost become indistinguishable, or at least much too similar. And while it's fun to have a few busy, highly detailed scarves, there have just been so many in recent seasons. It starts to feel repetitive, especially when seen from a distance, even if each is a unique design.
This is exactly my concern as well-- especially as I have been carefully curating my collection (I am only in this about five years now) and I don't want too many of any one "vibe" so to speak. I think I am leaning toward Figure Artistique and Pampa as the most unlike the busy-ness and style of recent seasons...I am also very very keen on Brandenbourg Fleuries DF as I do not own this design-- and it looks to be a lovely resissue-- hoping for some good colors!!! I love your "squint test" @etoile de mer!! Goingto apply it more often

Exactly. The pink does change the equation somewhat, but I'll bet there's a few mid blue/mid brown cws out there from the past few seasons. It helps if there was a color in one of the options that was problematic, and it helps with coordinating with the seasonal color selections for bags (and RTW) but as a general operating principle I'm a bit dismayed....
I know just what you mean @textilegirl!!

I hesitate to use a phrase like ‘dumbing down’ in connection with Hermes scarves, but that is the feeling I have. Even the reissues aren’t anything like they used to be. Perhaps they are spreading themselves too thinly with all the different styles on offer. To be back on topic, I like the black Planifleurs!
I fell for the black and white Robe Legere last season so I totally get that @Hanton!

Thanks for the telling comparison. This is exactly why I'm getting a bit frustrated with new designs but especially by the colour family repetition over several years. IMO these will look so similar when tied that there's little point in adding the FW 2023 design to one's collex - just my opinion.
That is just it @shrpthorn -- I personally want to reach for each one for a reason and not feel they are too interchangeable. I do love the perspective from above on Pantin City and if I did not have Animapolis...I'd be very tempted...

Thank you so much for the photos of Pantin City @Pivoine66 and @Hanton. I found my eye drawn to cw05 and then I looked in my scarf photo file and realized why. No penguins or Gila monsters but... Am I crazy?

Maybe that’s why I like that Pantin cw too. I have the same Godzilla cw. Lol. Are you still going to get the Pantin? It's the only design and cw I like so far from what I’m seeing.

I like the oblique city perspective of the Pantin design a lot in general. I’m a geographer and it reminds me of satellite imagery so there is something sort of special there.

I do agree about the Minecraft vibes tho. In the early photos I got that vibe more but this mod shot makes these colors look really appealing. I think @LKBNOLA this is the same one you are liking? In my case I don’t have Animapolis but I can see how if you have that, they might be duplicative.

Neither here nor there, but it’s interesting how much more muted the flat shot makes the colors look. In my case I’m hoping the colors are more like the mod shot, where the blue has purple tones and the oranges and browns are richer.
