My La Vallee de Crystal came today. Immediately noticed how stiff it was and wondered if I would have to immediately wash it before wearing so that it would drape. I have a friend who likes really crisp scarves and thought she would love this. I prefer soft, pliable silks.

@Cordeliere-- I have noticed that some scarves have quite a bit more sizing. I don't mind some stiffness but on occasion when it just feels too much like folding paper (!!??) I have lightly steamed the scarf with my little portable and that seems to help. I prefer not to wash a brand new scarf. Just personal preference and probably agita that I will mess it up!

Unfortunately, none of the 90cm SSQ scarves are a “perfect” match for that twilly (I spent a lot of time trying to find matches for it, too). That vert olive color doesnt work. One issue with the color families is that different scarves have the colors in different proportions. I know you don’t like the red or orange ones, but they do match better.

Hello! Just got my La Vallee de Cristal and I am not sure I like it as too much orange that is not my colour. I will try it again in the evening to make a final decision. Actually, I should correct myself, I like the scarf very much as a piece of art. It's really beautiful, very colourful and catching eye. I did want it so much but I am not sure that I like it on me.

I am finally getting to post some pictures of 2 La Vallee cw-s I got. I feel I am in minority - but 02 is simply stunning - it has so many possibilities - it can look very peachy/orangey or very neutral greyish- etoupe- blueish- green. I love the contract peachy border as well. 01 is stunning too , but very wild. I am keeping both and would be curious to try the green one, but my store did not have it.

I love 02 on you @luckystar07 -- for all the reasons you cite.

Posting few more beauties I have tried on my last trip to the boutique. 2 new colors for Cavalier en Formes. I loved the cream/vert/jaune 08 (the one with white base) and will probably get it. 70 cm Pampas is stunning! I want it, but have this design in 90 cm (vintage) in a very similar cw. Should I still get the 70 cm? Black and Beige Clair de Lune - which one do you think looks better on me? New 70 cm Brides de Gala scarf ring that I am stupidly in a hurry tried upside down. And finally - Hermes coloring pages with scarves designs, gifted to my little daughter who came with me to the store - what a special treat!!! Of course she will never see them again! ))

I have the mastic cw of Pampa and adore it. It is a truly special piece. I also got the green but the vibe is completely different. Maybe post a comparison of your vintage 90 and the 70 so we can help? On the Clair de Lune, I have the black and think it is an amazing cw for the design. The camel is a lovely soft neutral, so each has advantages depending on what else is in your closet @luckystar07. I will just say that I was thrilled to find a true black CSGM. That's been rare lately.

I just purchased 02 as well and love it! Peach, light orange, apricots, honey yellows, browns, confetti/lipstick pink and french blue look best with my skin tone. I tried on the 01 beauty, but have quite a few bright colored scarves, so I appreciated how 02 had a soft glow about it. I'll post pics tomorrow.

First is my Au Royaume d’Helios… I’ve been waiting for this one since the first press photos landed and lol it took forever to arrive in my boutique! Twins with @HermesHope !!! From prior photos I was worried some of the colors would be too bright on me but I’m thrilled with it. These pics aren’t the best lighting tho.

And then, after seeing some mod shots from @LKBNOLA I also bought this one - Planifleurs in black.

But… I am starting to lean towards returning it for something else. What do we think of this one on me? Not fishing for compliments - honest opinions welcome.

Adorable Helios @Jereni! Congratulations. I love it on you. I don't see you wearing black very often but I do think this Planifleurs is very very lovely. Even so, I think I understand your hesitation. It isn't in and of itself a "cool" or harsh cw but the grey top really amps up the high contrast rather than the lovely profusion of neutral flowers. I have tended to pair it with camel and cream and a more blue-grey myself. Am I wrong that this is an unusual color choice for you? My impression is that you prefer a softer palette. That said, this is a fabulous floral and an all time great neutral, in my opinion.

Well @sparklehop you have gotten such a river of responses! I will simply add my vote for the black but it really sounds like your ambivalence is such that you really need to wait and try them side by side to be sure. Good luck and come back and show the result when you choose!

It is not a youthful design by any means (I think it is aging a bit) so your gut feeling is spot on - you won't miss it by sending it back I am trying to be politically correct here not to offend any owners of this scarf....)

Hello, I was trying to get this colour way of Au Royaume d’Helios too Got it and love it! I am kinda pink girl. It's funny, I had appointment with my endocrinologist today and surprisingly she asked me : "were you in a pink polo on you last visit?" I laughed and answered: "Most likely, I like pink colour". She smiled and replied: "Me too, that's why I remember you were in pink".

Aw thanks - I do admire the colors in the Vallee de Crystal and that orange one would probably be the one but the design does not speak to me.
