Hello! I would love opinions on which color suits me better. I love both! Passed on the brown to wait for black (tried on the SA’s) but now thinking maybe I should have gotten the brown! Sigh :) the black is definitely bold, although my wardrobe palette has been softening slowly so I’m worried now it’ll be too stark! But it’s also classic. Was initially worried the brown May wash me out and not be as magical/starry looking. Thanks for hearing me out :)
I like the black one.

So many thanks to everyone for your (very enabling) mod shots this season!

I know that others upthread have mentioned receiving damaged silks, but has anyone noticed a stiff, plasticky handfeel and lack of drape to the silk this season? I ordered a few 90s online, and if I hadn't known that they were Hermes silk, I would have thought they were some type of polyester. I am guessing that the silk might just be overstarched, but it feels like something more than that.
My La Vallee de Crystal came today. Immediately noticed how stiff it was and wondered if I would have to immediately wash it before wearing so that it would drape. I have a friend who likes really crisp scarves and thought she would love this. I prefer soft, pliable silks.

I like both on you. I actually bought both because, although the same design, one is softer (camel) and the black has more bang because the black is quite saturated, especially since the white is creamy. I figure they both will serve me equally well (as they may do you) depending on the colors of my outfit. I wear a lot of beige/camel/off white and the camel will be great. With blacks, navy blue, etc. the black will work. Burgundy, gray, green - both. You get my point. Although you say your palette is softening, which one would work best with what you have across the board? Or which one makes your heart beat a bit faster when you see it? That's the one for you. As I said, I like both. If I could only choose one on you, it'd be the black. But I also know that the lighting of the shop and the photo makes the camel a bit lighter than IRL; I think it would flatter you just as well as the black IRL.

I like the black one. It goes well with your hair color.

I bought both black and camel too. Thought they were different enough to make it worthwhile.

I love the black on you - although the camel is lovely. But consider the source :P I’m always more likely to choose high contrast and bright cw’s in most scarves or shawls. Still, I stand by my choice - although you couldn’t go wrong with either. Can’t wait to see what you decide!

Thank you all!!! Yes you make good points too about the lighting being different in these pics too. I barely wear my other shawls (bad, I know) so I feel like I should only get one!

I can also hope that when the black ones in the brown will be there to compare both in same lighting

Apropos of @momasaurus' question about color families, I had a pretty green season but the color families letters are all different...which isn't surprising as the greens themselves are pretty varied also...

Gotta jump on those greens - so rare with H.
So no two of these are same color family? Now I am super-intrigued.

Sorry but you definitely need them both.
