I bought a beautiful cashmere cardigan. I bought a sweater last year too - there were other things I liked, but the prices are staggering!!
I also have very little experience with H sizing, but like all clothing, some of it may depend on the cut or style of the piece. I have found that I would usually be a 32 ( bad for finding things, GREAT for my wallet!) but tried a sweater in a 34 and it fit perfectly! Who knew?Hi all - I was trying on a lot of ready to wear in my local H store today, and I was so confused about sizing! I have very limited experience with H sizes. Is there a size conversion chart somewhere? I know it doesn't really matter, but I recently lost a bit of weight and I kind of wanted to know what US size I bought, ha ha!!
Ha! Thank you! I am not petite like you - I am 5'9" and I was a size 12 (us size) for many years. Now I lost some weight and I'm btw an 8 and a 10 for most things. In H, all the 38s I tried on yesterday were big. I will post the cardigan when I get home (we left town for the weekend and I don't have it with me). It's usually the material, the cut, how it hangs and most importantly, your taste, all working together. But forget all that- what did you get?!?!? THAT I'm interested in!
Also! I tried on the "back buttoned" dress in bleu marine - and I'm thinking about it till Tuesday, when my SA is back in the store. Love these boots expecially the beige greige but not made for the Canadian winters!
I've just tried sweaters/cardigans and they are fine with me - size 10/42 but sweater dresses are another matter. I'm quite wide in the hips and so far I'm can't find one that fits - a size 10/42 is too tight through the hips but a size 12/44 is too wide through the bust (small busted). I haven't tried pants or skirts or coats. So as you say, know your body type and fabric/cut has a lot to do with it.
