See, to me that is a serious chunk of change for a bag that, while adorable, is NOT really functional. The collector in me wants it, bad, but I don't see it happening. There are too many things I could put that money toward that would actually be used. An adorable wee Kelly that just sits in my closet most of the time, is, sadly, not on the agenda.

I completely understand Mindi and have all the same reservations but as a collectible piece, I just really want it! I have what I need as far as functional bags go and have a more practical Podium Order headed my way so that offsets this completely impractical yet adorable purchase. Of course, it could arrive and I could have a change of heart but I don't think that's going to happen.

MrsO, I am totally in support of your proposed mini-Kelly! If my finances would allow it, I would SO be right there with you! May I live vicariously though you, please? :D

Thank you for your support ;)

She'll hold a place of honor among my collection of tiny bags, my Micro Peekaboo, my Nano LV Speedy, my Happy Pill clutch that only holds 2 lipsticks but nothing else you might actually need. I'll consider this one a winner if it can hold both my phone and a credit card at the same time :p

I admit, I am still wanting a micro monster baguette from Fendi. Totally trendy and ridiculous, but I just think the darn things are cute. If my money tree flourishes, I will revisit the micro Kelly for sure, but I just don't see it as likely. Insert sad face here.

Thinking over Mrs. O's preferences, it seems to me that tiny bags are an art form -- I would use the term, "wearable art" here but that has such connotations of pieced-together clothing (often quite beautiful, tho) -- so I will simply call them a "collectible." They are cool. It's like the guys with a garage full of Porsches that seldom get driven but all the same are a part of the guys' identity.

Or, on a small but completely stupid scale, people who own $5.00 statues from ebay of a hippo hatching out of an egg, or a hippo wearing a chef's hat and apron who's grilling something. Or pink and blue hippos wearing large round eyeglasses. Or the real prize, the large, gap-toothed bubble-gum pink hippo with lipstick and a hula hoop who moves when the alarm goes off the clock it's attached to. Yeah. Like that. (If I had a yard it would have pink flamingoes).

compared to the Mini K the Fendi now looks like an absolute bargain, not to enable you or anything [emoji77]

I think you're right, it's a fun thing to collect. I have plenty of practical and timeless fashion items but these are just fun and I do consider them art. Making them so perfect on such a small scale requires an amazing attention to detail and the mini K is the crown jewel in the mini bag format, to me at least!

I LOVE the Harnais satchel: anyone know the price roughly? My store hasn't recieved any yet.....

I love it too, haven't seen any yet but was told price was in the mid $9k usd for leather combos and no info on the exotic combos. I asked to try it if my store gets any in at all.

MrsOwen,
I have a Kelly Pochette that I use all of the time. Is the mini kelly smaller than the KP? I wish I could see one modeled or pics that compare the two to see what the dimensions are.
:smile1:

That so great to hear about your gorgeous KP! I think it's a little taller than the KP and about 19/20 cm wide. I think KP is 22cm so just a bit smaller. I'm sure we'll see them modeled soon, I'm excited to see them!

it's only 19cm wide, while KP is 22 cm; and it's going to be thinner so it won't fit as much.
