When did the policy change to only exchange within 30 days and not refund at all? Online purchases will be refunded if you return, but in store purchase receipt says only exchange. Makes no sense :(

I think they assume if you see it in person in the boutique, you should have enough information to know if you truly want to own the item and thus there shouldn't be a need for returns. Whereas online, you get the disadvantage of not seeing the item before purchase so they give you some leeway on returns.

I suppose that is true, but if you want to compare it to items at home, it is not helpful. Oh well.

The tough spot is when an item has to be purchased from another store, sight unseen. I purchased some earrings yesterday that my boutique never received but were available in other stores when they checked the database. I just hope the color I chose looks ok when I get it!

My earrings arrived and unfortunately, though I longed for them before I saw them, they do not fit on my ears. I have never returned anything to the store before, and I dread the idea. If I purchased them through a store transfer, is it even possible to return them for store credit?

Yes, you should be able to return them for store credit at your store. Next time, I would request the item be transferred to your store for you to come in and try it on before purchasing. I only purchase things sight unseen when I’m 100% certain I will keep it. Good luck. :)

Thank you, that’s good news. Unfortunately they didn’t offer to transfer it in, when my store doesn’t have something it’s hard to persuade them to bring it in for me to try prior to purchase. I have been wanting these earrings for a long time, but they just didn’t work out. Luckily there’s always something else to buy! I remember reading something about not being able to use store credit across categories, so does that mean I can only buy fashion jewelry with the credit?

I have never heard of this credit by category thing before. I have used scarf credit to buy jewelry and jewelry credit to buy bags, etc. , in the US, London, and Paris. It must be store-specific, so I would ask your store.

I have a couple of questions regarding store credit. I purchased a Calvi but decided once I got it home that it wasn't going to fit my needs so I took it back and received store credit.

First question is do I have to use that store credit in the same store which issued me the credit? Second is if a another SA assists me with the purchase I make that includes the credit, will they get credit for the sale or the SA that issued me the credit?

I’ve bought two holiday gifts in November that apparently aren’t great hits and they’d like to exchange… at this point it’s past 30 days. Do you think H will still take back for a credit due to the holidays?
