I was there was last week. I liked the boutique itself and, like Grace Kelly, thought the SAs were nice but not super knowledgeable. I did see the red Kelly with the diamond clasp - very lovely, fortunately too small for me! (As if...)

I am not very taken with the City Center complex itself, I'm sorry to say. Didn't see a lot of interesting stores, though very little has opened. Even the signs of what is to come didn't seem too appealing to me. I'm frankly surprised that H moved from a high traffic location to such an out of the way spot. Have to check it out again once things pick up.

If you feel the need for a visit to Las Vegas, the hotel prices are incredibly low right now - they are way over-built in the luxury segment and rooms are plentiful, with very low prices.

I haven't seen the new boutique at Encore yet, can't believe I had to leave before I could hit all the H boutiques!!

^^I think they felt the Bellagio was just too filled with looky-loo people. The hotel was a zoo when I was there on Sat. The new Mandarin Oriental at City Center , where I was staying, is a draw for them I am sure. It is quiet and doesn't attract the gambling crowd who is "compted" as there is no casino in the hotel. It was a relief to be there after walking through the other casino hotels. It is set up in such a way, that the there is no street traffic allowed and excellent security.

It seems to me, that on the whole, many of the big designer names want the presence more than they expect the sales. They all will now have multiple boutiques over the city so how much can they sell in such a small area? Of course the mark-ups are so high, a few sales may do it for them. I suspect that Hermes may be one of the more successful boutiques of the entire bunch.

I finally had a chance to shop at the new boutique. It was great to see familiar faces from Bellagio. It was actually quite packed when I went but there was plenty of staff on hand to help everyone. While I liked the H boutique (and the brand new Bottega Veneta next door), I just didn't like shopping in Crystals. I can appreciate the artistic design, but it had too many dead ends and the escalator placement was confusing. Here's the trick, if you ride the tram, just look for the elevator to make your way to the first floor. Don't bother with the escalators. There were kiosk style directories placed throughout the building, but they had touchscreens. With all of the coughing and sneezing I saw while I was there, I felt weird touching the screen. I guess I would have enjoyed Crystals if I was passing time and sightseeing, but I was on a mission to shop and I want everything to be easy for me when I'm attempting to spend money. :) Ok, I'm going to go have some cheese with my WHINE now. LOL

I was at both Vegas boutiques recently. The City Centre was not my cup of tea, but the H boutique was not bad. I still prefer the Encore H though. I'm always a fan of the smaller boutiques. Stock in both was pretty good and staff at both were quite friendly.

Are both of these H boutiques on, or near the strip? I'm headed to Vegas in a few weeks and would like to check them out. Planning on staying at Mandalay Bay-are they pretty close? THANKS!

The Mandalay Bay is kind of far down the one end of the Strip. City Center is about a mile up the Strip (1.3 miles, according to Google from the MB), the Encore another mile (2 miles, according to Google, from the MB).
