Happy online shopping

I wish they add that feature to Canadian H.com soon! Do they still charge shipping if it's shipped to a boutique?

Good question, I wondered that myself after placing my order. So I just went back and did a pretend order and found that they do not charge for shipping if it's sent to a boutique. It's a small savings which in my case would be a wash given fuel costs and parking and the time taken out of my day.

Also I am more than sure I would buy alot more stuff at the store when I'm picking up, so I don't think it's a savings per se...:roflmfao:

Would you think it would be possible for our SA take credit for our online purchase if we pick it up at the store? Just curious.

I just placed an order with the U.S. site and they gave me the option of having my order delivered to one of my local boutiques or sent to my house. Interesting option although for me walking in to a boutique is just asking for me to walk out with additional bags.

Which may very well be their intention in offering this option.

An interesting and nice touch, nevertheless.
Rumor has it that this feature will be 2-way, meaning that H.com can pull something from store inventory and sell it online!

Nope. I asked my SA this when I went to pick up my Kelly Dog and they do not get commission on online sales picked up at the Store.

She however ended up getting commission because I traded the KD in for a CDC :)

Does anyone know how often they often the website? I visit the Canadian site every few days to see the pretties, but I wonder if they're on an update schedule. Right now, I go straight to the items I want, but if they add new items, I'd like to go look at them. I know the US site had quite a few different items.

A q about limits -- I know that there is a 3 CDC limit per household. I want to order one for my cousin for her birthday and it would be shipped directly to her (different address). Would I be able to complete the transaction even if the billing address is mine (and has met the 3 CDC limit)?

Can anyone please share your shopping experience with hermes.com? Maybe any of you once had an experience like me. I'm sorry for the long story below.
I placed an order #1 online but cancelled it over the phone. After the cancellation was confirmed, I placed a new order (order #2) online but found out that it's been cancelled by the system (I found out when I called again, no email notification whatsoever). I called again asking about order #1 and was informed that order #1 was ready for dispatch but since I cancelled it on time, they were able to pull it out.

Long story short, both my orders were cancelled, I thought.
Later in the day, I went to my account on hermes.com and order #1 was put through, with a fedex tracking number provided.
Any idea what's happening? I can't call the 1-800 number coz it's now closed. Help!
Thank you very much.

On June 20th I placed an order with the website and decided to have it shipped to my local boutique. It's a new service they provide so I thought what the heck, let's see how this works.

On June 22nd I placed another order with the website and chose to have the package delivered to my house.

I just received the package here at the house of my order from the 22nd.

So decided to call the boutique to find out about my other order because logic says it should have gotten there a couple of days ago. The boutiques response was that they will not contact me when the package arrives, I will get an e-mail from H.com telling me when it's delivered. OK that sounds a little weird but we have to consider that this is Hermes and anything goes.

I just shot an e-mail to the H.com site and asked them about my order from the 20th.

Stay tuned > > >

I've had things sent to Bond in London. Yes, I've has to wait for the email directly from H. I assume it works the same as NYC...though you're right, it shouldn't take more than 2 days. Perhaps they wait until they accumulate more orders or when they have a low number choose to ship out twice a week to boutiques?

An hour after sending out the e-mail I get a message that my package is in Palm Beach and ready to be picked up.

Curious timing. Merely coincidental or generated by my inquiry? We'll never know.

Regardless, it makes for ongoing fodder about the nuttiness of the U.S. website.

I think the email is generated in response to some kind of acknowledgment in the store. I called to inquire about an order I had sent to the store and they checked to see if it was there, then 10 min after hanging up-I got the email saying it was available at the boutique.

Yes, that makes total sense. London was pretty good about being on top of quick notification, though. Usually got the email around opening time.
