Want mine?? (j/k...most of the time...:p)

LOL!

B-Mom, I got a close to 20-year-old and 17-year-old. They make bigger messes. I came THIS close to taking a picture of the exploded bomb that is DS' room to post on Chat. But then he went back to college and I miss him.

I hear ya EB, but PB is a challenge.

Imagine, last PM I told her to go put her pjs on so we could hunker down and watch a family movie...I hear this as she's going down the hall..."I thought this was a democracy!"

I said, "not in this house, here it's a Momocracy!"

I.am.so.scr*wed!

LMAO! Oh I love her! But yes, B'mom, tell us when we need to send you more wine!

LOL! Same here! I can foresee LilOB saying that too when she's old enough to string together six words. Heck, I'm fairly sure during her tantrums that she's cussing me out in her own toddler language. If she weren't so darned cute...

OB, but on the bright side, maybe she'll be able to talk your DH into buying more shooz for you, since he's wrapped around her pinkie :graucho:

Purse! Morning! :hugs:

Good morning! Winky has an oncologist appointment for Tuesday. The more I thought about things, the more I wanted a second opinion from a specialist. Dead Cat Walking just ate a can of cat food by himself. I can't just sit here and do nothing.

GO WINKY! Restricter, so glad you're getting a second opinion :hugs:

Good morning ladies!!!

Morning PoTH *waves*

Hiya POTH!!! BTW, your avatar doggie is too cute.

Chat peeps almost make me want to get a dog.

Want a puglet? :p

Well, before I killed the PF (I don't know how I do it, but I had a really long message and I lost all access to the forum...)
My boy, always a slob, disorganized, but organized enough to know that he needed to take a class during college summer break on organizational skills. He had to design the course for Sylvan. We actually got our money back. But, EB, I digress.
Our house has five bedrooms. Two on ground level (one has been converted to office/dressing suite for DS) and three upstairs. The way the second floor was designed was to be DS's bedroom attached to a guest room by a jack/jill bathroom. Then via a long, hallway, which is actually living space, couch, lamps, library, chairs, my old breakfront, the third bedroom and attached bath was supposed to be my studio. But, after 10 years of not using it, we made it into a luxurious guest room -- for all the important and luxury-expecting guests we host, LOL. Well, guess where DS decided to sleep and have his luxurious bath. The day after DS scrubbed, dusted, fixed cleaned that very room. No, DS could not sleep in his own messy room, but the clean, freshly dusted and straightened up room. No, I haven't been up there to check it out. And yes, I do not care where he sleeps as long as he comes home for his visits occasionally.
ps -- he usually takes his luxurious baths in mom's unused jacuzzi, but he uses the one furthest away from our bedroom to be quiet, because his baths can take hours. He is very considerate. He brought his own home-made bath salts!

BBL, your house sounds like a wonderful set up! Love that your DS still comes home for visits

*sigh* I am seriously wasting my day away ... I have lots of stuff to do yet I have spent all afternoon doing research on soft-sided luggage, cabin baggage allowances, safari packing lists, safari clothes, getting the weights of SO's camera equipment, reading monthly game reports, vaccinations needed for going on safari, etc. etc. etc. I haven't even the trip booked yet and already I'm looking at all that. Trying to figure out if we can just get away with having cabin baggage only rather than checking it in.

I am a total obsessive planner - I tend to plan stuff a million years in advance LOL.

Oh Avril. I'm an obsessive planner too. And then go into total stress bugout mode if I can't do anything or it's spur of the moment stuff. Hope you get all the luggage sorted out! :hugs:

Avril--not to enable you, or anything, but planning for a safari is essential! The less you can bring, the better, as in most cases the luggage allowance for the actual safari is strict (limited space in Jeeps, small planes, etc.). So plan away! (DH and I went on safari about four years ago.)

Ack! Don't tell SO. He's dying to go on a safari as our next vacation. We may end up going back to Asia this year and then safari next year, but he's been seriously wanting to go for years!

Ok, didn't realize the time. Going to meet up at NM with two fab TPFers for lunch. I'll peek for Khaki Rose at the Chanel counter, was it only CG looking? PM me if anyone else wants me to look for anything.

Hope everyone has a lovely day! I'll see if I can get an action shot of my outfit today :graucho:

LOL, BBL. I think my DS may be following your DS' path.

BUT as long as he comes home, communicates regularly and is doing OK, I will be happy.

BTW, isn't it a pretty day!!! I am in my living room where I just put down hardwood and the sunlight is reflecting off the floors and the room sparkles. I am a happy camper.

EB -- congratulations on the new floors. We have hardwood throughout the first floor and Chinese rugs (which all need a good cleaning!)

I love it that DS is in the general vicinity. He's having trouble finding a job, but he's doing okay. To make sure they keep in touch after college, continue to pay for their cell-phones! Works like a charm.
I love texting him from the grocery store to see if he needs something. Something like my mother would have (not) done.

We are trying desparately to find something to watch on TV. On-Demand nothing to watch. How crazy. Going back to my nook. Reading The Collection about a worker bee/contemporary of Chanel.

Pugsy, I think it was just Rushka and me. :-) I want to go on safari!!! It's a lifelong dream. Have fun with at lunch!!

Avril: Welcome to the club. :p I am not going for three weeks but I have already started to pack.

ha ha, nurse - we ain't going for 7 months and I haven't even booked the trip yet. Already I am planning on starting to get together my 100ml bottles of things like moisturiser, suncream, bug spray, etc. so that we can avoid checking in our bags! Good stuff on the packing early though! :D

Are you all better now? How is the thesis going? And work? :hugs:

I think you will love it. It is a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

I totally agree with the once-in-a-lifetime experience! It defo will be. Which is why I'm going all out. I've done tons of research on when to go, where to go, etc. I wanna make sure it's absolutely perfect!

Yep I am the same! I will plan a trip right down to the restaurants where we go to eat in, LOL!!! If I go somewhere, I wanna make sure I maximise the experience and not end up eating in some horrible place by mistake!

Avril, you have no idea how much I'd love that! A safari is something DH will NEVER do. However, I still have hopes of taking the grands one day. :graucho:

You will get there one day, CG! Maybe your DH might change his mind :smile1:

Good luck Pugs, but be prepared for the hysterical laughter that I got from the SAs....Lulilu was looking too...Rushka was doing recon when she was out shopping.

Does the NM have a VCA too? If it's open, would you look at the Alhambras for me? I know, it's taking one for the team, but I know you are up to the task, LOL! Have fun!

Oooh, okey. I am not there yet

I just got home and I am trying to catch up with the scarf thread and making my H scarf as a necklace. As I am too broke to buy magazines after the electristy bill came in. :p

Thank you so much for asking. I am much better now even though I am still on meds. However my thesis work is going great! I love my group and we had a fun night on Friday. Drinks, Wii and going out later in the evening. It was sooo much fun and we got to know each other in a different and fun way. I think I will love them even more later on. One is crazy and loves dirty jokes, another is really cute and bubbly. Like Snow White on speed. The third one is fiesty and just newly in love so we tease her a lot. :p But everyone works hard and is tough with their priorities so I feel happy because we study around 17 hours a day.

I think you are really lovely to go on a safari with your SO. I am very jealous. :p

B-Mom, My Neimans has VCA. That's where restricter got one of her necklaces.

What do you want me to look for? I love shopping for other people's jewelry too.

Want a puglet? :p

BBL, The Collection sounds like a interesting read.

Avril, Be sure to pack me in your suitcase. I don't take up much room. I would love to go on a Safari, but DH has never been keen on the idea.

CG, ***Big Waves***

nurse - yay! I am so happy that you love your thesis group and that you had great fun on Friday night. Yay! That's great that you all get along so well, it will make working on the thesis sooooo much easier and a much more pleasant experience! :hugs:

Right then, I shall pack the following in the suitcase for the safari:

- clothes
- toiletries
- SO's camera equipment
- pugs, CG, nurse and EB (I hope ye all don't mind squishing in together?)

:D
