Ck, my labor felt the same way...took twelve hours but it really felt like time went faster than that.
Yes! We had cake and candles last night after the game! We also changed out her bed from Dora to "Big Girl" pattern (pink/black/white mod floral pattern. DH hates it but it's cute).
And I still have ya'll beat with the 3-day labor! I don'trecommend it

LALAAAAAAAAAAA! And OB and B-Mom and nurse and Avril! Just dropped Henry off at Doggy Daycare and watched him running after the human supervisor with his tail between his legs and his ears back, like "Get me outta here! Who ARE all these DOGS?!" This is so good for him, but poor baby!

Amen, sistah! 'Course, I say that, when my only "drug" experience is alcohol, and not much of that. Two drinks sits me DOWN. I am a lightweight. But I TALK a good game.

I was given Morphine after surgery when I was 21----those were the happiest 2 hours of my life! Very powerful stuff!! (Sadly, it was so effective at masking the pain that I thought it was a good idea to leave the hospital & go home. Bad decision!)

You know what I've just learned? Henry DROOLS! Like, a LOT! Olive never drools and rarely pants. HenHen sits waiting for his food or a treat and--drip, drip, drip! LOL! He's such a DOG!

Yes, I'm all for appropriate pain control, but it is strong stuff. My mom is very sensitive to pain meds and typically is given too much, which causes her to hallucinate, and since she's an elderly lady the nurses/docs just assume she has dementia (grrrr), so I need to be VERY CLEAR with medical personnel that she is compos mentis and any bizarre behavior is due to the stuff they are giving her!
