Eeeek. A huge cyclone bearing down on Australia, a severe winter storm threatening half of the US, and an erupting volcano in Japan. It is the end! The sky IS falling! Run!

I know ladies the world is going crazy. It has actually got even hotter in the last hour and to the north there is going to be a massive cyclone, as if Queensland hasn't been through enough with the floods in recent weeks!!

I am dying to break out one of my new bags, but I am skeert of slipping on the ice and falling on my rear end and have my new bag go flying. Yes, this happened to me with my Ciel Kelly.

So it'll be my good ole' etoupe birkin today. Blasted ice storms.

Hi Suzie!

A blizzard is a huge snowstorm with strong winds. Generally it only involves snow. In an ice storm, freezing rain ( falls as rain, but freezes as soon as it lands on something) covers everything. The ice can get to be very thick and can cause a lot of damage.

Kind of makes 30C sound good!

Yep--from the knife block. To help you visualize, they have a black handle. Brand is Wusthof. I'm pretty darn sure they are not in the laundry room...

hi sweetie! good luck with the immunizations. oddly enough, i have an almost 20 year old daughter that has a serious issue with any and all shots. she generally becomes ill, and once in a while will pass out. even the flu mist gets her. i think she is just a nervous person with regard to anything medical......and she is impossible to carry. so just hug the little guy and keep him cozy, and watch him with an eagle eye.
life is ok here, my mom is doing much better than expected, in direct contradiction of the doc's expectations. at some point, however, she will no longer be able to continue treatment. so we enjoy every day!
which, ultimately is good advice for anyone, at any age.......

Good morning. CK-- when DS was a baby, 27 years ago, the exam room had two doors. When the doctor was done examining DS he would disappear and then come back into the other door with the shots. Baby never saw him, never actually associated the doctor with the needles because he never saw who administered the shot. I always thought that was brilliant. He was an old timey doctor.

Black ice has hit the BBL house. DH went out to get the paper. He got as far as one foot out of the doorway and fell smack flat on his back. Geez. All the color went out of him for a few minutes. He is quite a bit of pain right now. Nothing broken. Tomorrow he will feel a whole lot worse. Poor baby. He won't let me call Dr. Fred. So, I guess I need some hurt DH vibes, please. Thanks.

Ouch! Poor Mr. BBL!

I just dropped Winky off and am patting myself on the back for taking the day off. The roads are awful and traffic even worse. Naturally, the trains are having problems too.

I'm having breakfast and now waiting for the phone to ring with results. This parenthood gig is tough!
