Happy New Year, everyone! We wound up going to two parties - one for the kids, and then, feeling old because we were done and home at 6:45, back out again at 9 (9? Half the time we're ready for bed at 9!) to a party at a friend's house...but still full from party #1. Up at 8 this morning (DS#2 had to wake me to show me he made his bed), made fresh waffles for everyone, and unfortunately with holiday schedules I am not getting a workout today, but hopefully tomorrow before I take my mother to the airport. No plans for today....just hanging out.....I hope everyone has a terrific 2011!!!

Well, I'm not hurling anymore, but that's the only plus. I did ring in the new year curled up in the fetal position on the bathroom floor, groaning, and watching the fireworks through the window. Wee OB is still snotty, but feels 100% better; she's taking full advantage of my inability to move out of bed to watch as many episodes of Sesame Street as we have on Tivo. How does it feel to have the house back to yourself?

OH OB!!! (((HUGS!!!!))) Feel better soon!!!

Feels pretty durn good to have the house back, OB, and thank you for asking! DH and I are still getting over whatever it was, and Henry is taking full advantage of our minor incapacity to run riot in his own four-legged way. Currently he has discovered the bath toys I'd gotten out for our nephew. They are rubbery and puppy-mouth sized, so he's happy. Oy.

Hello Everyone...just stopping by to wish everyone a Happy New Year:
hello OB, IL, CMB, Avril, Mindi B, Mree, Skyqueen, Restricter and Jinjy, PurseCrazy...if I forgot someone who welcomed me on this thread before, it is my memory lapse kicking in.
HAPPY NEW YEAR AGAIN!!!

Thanks, EB! I was really bummed about missing our HOA's pot luck party because there are some really great cooks in our building, but it was not to be! Oddly enough, I feel better after drinking some soda and eating a cookie, so onward with the sugar remedy!

Well BBC, if ya hang out in chat, as EB says, your post count will grow exponentially! :D

Happy new year miyake!

Mindi - sounds like HenHen is having a great time with all the bath toys!!

He is, Avril! He's so funny--he gets bored with a toy very quickly, then "rediscovers" an old one. Like a toddler.
Oh, man, I just needed to have a "money" talk with my parents. Won't go into details, but let me say it was excruciating. Urrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh. Now I feel like hurling. And/or curling into a fetal position. And I have a headache. Stress.
