Hi all!

Despite this thread being dormant for a few months, I was hoping someone would be able to advise what the chances are of buying an Evelyne TPM in store, as a local with no purchase history? I haven't been lucky to get this bag online so I'm thinking that it may be time to head down to Holt.

I'm new to the Hermes game (not the luxury world though) & the thought of going in store is very nerve-wracking as I am under 30 & worried I won't be taken seriously.

I got an Evelyn TPM from the Calgary store without asking for the it, it was just offered to me. It is the traditional orange colour so not my first pick of a colour but I did buy it. It’s a really useful and fun bag. I would use it a lot more if it was neutral.

I don’t think age matters. Don’t be intimidated - it’s just a store at the end of the day. Just be nice and ask for items you want to purchase. This store is by far the least intimidating one I have ever been in. BUT like any H store, you have to purchase items and then ask the sales staff if you can do a wish list. Purchase ones you love. The chypre sandals are by far my number one purchase, they are so comfortable and go with a lot. Worth every penny. Little wallet or change purse, scarves are fun, I love the pretty ashtrays or dishes you can put change in or your keys. Once you have made a few purchases and show your loyalty, I bet you will get the Evelyn. Goodluck!!

Hi everyone! I was curious about the stock situation at the Calgary store. I am currently shopping in vancouver but I do visit Calgary often due to family. Curious what’s people pre-spend is prior to getting a bag. I was hoping for a retourne k25. I’ve gone in store once and it is pretty small, but that being said curious if your SA are openly offering even NQB. Thanks!

Hi! I’m not sure, but I think you need to be an AB or Sask resident to be offered a QB in the Calgary store.

Hi Everyone,
I'm an SK resident and new to Hermes but been reading on here. I plan to take a trip to Calgary later this month and hope to begin my H journey; get connected to an SA, buy a belt set and chypre sandal. I want a B30 hopefully within a year.
Questions:
1. Would I be considered a non-local and ineligible for a QB?
2. Any advice on how to go about this + how to engage an SA on my first visit?

PS: I'm a natural connector and have struck great relationships with SAs at LV, Gucci, Jimmy Choo. However, Hermes is a whole new ball game as people seem to be extra cautious around them (based on what I've read on here). I want to be careful not to be too forward and offend Hermes SAs.

Update:
I visited last week and was approached by a very pleasant young man as I walked into the store. He was so nice and down to earth, and we had an engaging conversation around Canadian weather, immigration and realised we both had roots in the UK, and of course talked alot about the UK, family and Europe travels. I got a belt set, a twilly and 2 perfumes (the alcohol free perfume and the new Barenia...loved both). He created a account for me, wrapped everything nicely and gave me lots of perfume samples. He explained how things work to score a bag and mentioned that they service clients from SK and MB in addition to AB. He asked for my favorite colors and when I mentioned that my dream bag was a B30, he brought one for me to try and that was a wow moment for me. He said my desired colors are highly sought after and it may take up to 2 years to get one considering the long line of people waiting. Anyways, I'm not in a hurry so will wait. When I told him that I will visit again in May, he asked me to give him a 2 weeks notice before coming so he can see about the possibility of getting a non QB in my fave color. He gave me his business card. Overall, this was a very beautiful experience and I'm so blessed to have found a CA that clicked with me immediately.
Meanwhile, it is true that everyone at the Calgary store is amazing, because while there he had a client on appointment come in and while with her, I struck up a conversation with who I assume to be the store manager because she referred to the others as CAs. She was super nice and chatted with me about the hardware they use for their bags and how they are crafted by the people that make their fine jewelry. Also got to learn a bit more about their watches.
Hope this is helpful.
