Hi everyone! I have visited BA before but never gone into the H store, it looks lovely btw based on these photos I am seeing above! With the currency inflation, are products listed in ARS and how does the store manage the constant change in currency valuation?

I was in this boutique this month. It is the tiniest Hermès boutique I've ever visited. They only have a total of 3 staff to run the boutique!

I was also hoping to utilize currency fluctuations to my advantage but that wasn't possible. I did find an accessory I'd been looking for though. And the SA I worked with was delightful.

Nothing available to purchase in leather, however, only a few display pieces. Interestingly, when I returned to my hotel and opened my receipt, it was a receipt for a Birkin. It had another customer's name and details on it, was dated the day of my purchase, and my receipt was not in the bag. I had to make a return trip to the boutique the next day--literally on the way to the cruiseport for our outgoing cruise--in order to return the other client's receipt and have an SA provide me with a receipt in my name that matched my actual purchase.

The day I made my purchase, my SA told me everything was being repriced higher the next day. I asked if it was due to currency fluctuations but in this instance it was a regularly scheduled price increase by the maison.

Hello! And what price was for Birkin in receipt?
I remember that in May 23 Kelly 28 cost 18000, croco 56000 or 58000usd

My apologies. I thought I had taken a photo of the other client's Birkin receipt but as I look back through my camera roll for that date, I am unable to locate it. I don't even recall the size or the leather type. I think it may have been a B30 in Clemence or Togo and I think it may have been around 18k USD, but please don't rely on that unless I later locate the photo.

Going to be there in a few days. Would love to know - Were prices same as in US or more expensive? Tia!!
Bonjour! I did not take notes, but I left with the impression that--on the specific day I visited--prices were higher in BA than prices in my home boutique in the USA. (Of course we know that, to some extent, prices will vary from one boutique to another in the USA based on sales tax rates at your home boutique compared to sales tax rates in other US locations you may occasionally visit.

Also, keep in mind that for most international visitors, customs fees would need be added to the boutique price in order to calculate and compare your true cost. Add in the wild fluctuations in their currency valuation and your experience could indeed be different than mine was. For example, my daughter and her husband visited Argentina perhaps five months earlier. During their visit, BA's currency was so weak--and the USD was so strong--that they both had to wear backpacks in order to carry enough local currency to cover their regular spending for a few days!

This is a teeny tiny boutique. Personally, I think it's fascinating to visit for that reason alone. Consider, for instance, the daunting task of having to eliminate 90% of the inventory from the boutique(s) where you're used to purchasing your Hermès items: which items would you retain for sale in order to represent the various "universes" of Hermès in a way that still displays and offers a representative sampling of the maison's materials and craftsmanship?

If you have time to stop in, I would encourage you to go. But if you're looking to leave with a "deal" based on pricing alone, it's quite unlikely that will happen. That said, they did happen to have a certain desk accessory I had been considering. This season's USA collection no longer includes this piece in the metal I prefer, however, they happened to have one there. I left happy to acquire this piece and richer for the experience of having had the opportunity to visit such an unusually small boutique that did a wonderful job of communicating the heritage of Hermès to clients in a way that diminished only the square meters of space and not the maison or its treasures.

Thanks to everyone who shared their experience in the BA Hermes store. I just realized last night that our cruise company booked us a hotel just across the store! So I will definitely pay a visit there (my husband was rolling his eyes when I told him that lol). Has anyone visited the store recently? Are their prices still a lot more than the stores in US / Canada?

@crisbac im planning to visit Argentina and Chile in February, do you know if you have any inventory? I think Chile store doesn’t sell to tourists. Hoping to get a QB in Buenos Aires. Would you be kind enough to confirm the inventory or connect me to an SA.

@meowmeow can you share your experience? Any luck with a quota bag in BA?
No luck with quota bag. But they did have quite a few non quota bags like garden party, a jige clutch, herbags, in-the-loop, etc. One interesting thing though … I was told that for any bag purchases, we had to pay in USD cash. For anything else, we can use credit card. The prices were higher than the listed price on the US website roughly by 20-30%. There were 3 SAs in the store but we still had to wait for a bit.
