I got my birkin by going into the store last year and asking to be put on the list, and am currently waiting for my second one. I know a few people who asked to put on the list recently and were told that the store isn't taking names for the list anymore. I think your best bet is to just go into the store and see what they say!

Same here! Same experience! I am waiting for my 2nd one too. :D

Wow, thanks very much Jacs123 and Aritziababe for the very encouraging info. I can actually see that there may be some hope , light at the end of the tunnel, in possibly getting a Birkin WITHOUT first spending alot of money on other H items that I don't really need!

If you don't mind me asking.....how long did you have to wait to get your lovely Birkin after placing an order with the H Toronto store? Thanks again!

I was on the list for about a year, but most of my H items prior to that had been bought at different stores while traveling, so I didn't know any of the SAs at that time.

Oops! I got mine from Calgary store. Waited for only about 4 months.

I want to buy two Birkins and because they are so expensive I want to only buy them in the store. Since I'm a newbie...does anyone live in toronto that can refer me to their SA? I hope that way I can get my bag faster.

oh good to hear! i want to go on a wait list for a birkin! i regret not getting one while in paris! so much cheaper :( but i did score a kelly!

im probably not going to buy a ton of other stuff though.... i dont even mind waiting a year for my dream B.... nopt just have to chose colour and leather:) he he he. will make my way to the Hermes on Bloor street soon:)

I was in the Vancouver store asking about a B or a K. They said there is no waiting list and it will only be offered to customer with 'history', ie big purchases haha. It's not I don't want to buy, but the scarves, belt and bracelets that I want are not available. They hinted that I should buy Hermes kids. No thank you.

^I have the same problem in that the items I want to buy are never in stock at the Toronto store. I buy most of my items in the USA now (hubby works/lives part time there) since there is more selection and better prices. I also get better service and the USA SAs call me when items I might be interested in just come in (CDCs, bags, ect).
I have been told twice now (2 different sales people) that I have to buy more to get a B/K at the Toronto store. I continue to go in there and speak to my SA but no luck with getting another B/K there and I don't expect to ever be offered one again.

It seems a bit backwards to buy a lot of stuff to potentially be offered a B/K (not even the exact one you would want to buy).

I give up too and am looking to get my B or K from a reseller.
Thinking about it again, my experience at the shop was not the most comfortable. The SA was asking a lot about my background, what I do etc.... I just told her where I worked and not the title. I don't want to tell her what my husband does for living either. We are just humble people who don't like to brag and we don't make friends based on how rich they are. I wonder if it would have been easier to score anything if I told her what we do for a living...

I have never been asked what I do for living at Chanel Vancouver or any other high end stores.

Hi, I am new to the forum and was wondering whether anyone has knowledge of the inventory at the calgary store... I am heading there next weekend and hope to have more luck than i did with the store here in Vancouver :nogood: I called the store to inquire about purchasing a day planner and the sa replied "only one left", asked what color it was.. she said vert anis, which quite frankly is not my cup of tea. i asked about whether they had any bearn wallets and she said "sold out" then i asked about the men's dragon ties and she said "SOLD OUT LONG AGO"

i am hoping someone has a SA they are familiar with in the calgary store who might be a bit more helpful. i am willing to spend the $$$ it takes to gain some loyalty with the store.. with the high population of new chinese immigrants, i am doubtful i can do that in vancouver as they have the big guns.. I am looking for quite a few things for myself hehe. some enamel H bracelets, rivale bracelets and maybe a kelly dog as well. my mom had bought me a CDC shadow cuff and i absolutely love it, hoping to expand my collection of accessories... also looking for a jige mini :graucho: and of course, if i am able to get my hands on any Bs or Ks... :graucho:

if there is any help i can get i would really appreciate it :tup: :tup:
