Bags have no gender, nor do they care who uses them- therefore its one K or B per appointment, plus another if you're so lucky.
While I appreciate the comment, this is NOT true. In Sevres, men's bags do NOT require appointments. The SA in Sevres said that we only need appts for women's bags. Thanks.

Anything is possible. You’d be crazy lucky to even get one bag; two would be nearly unheard of but I’m sure it’s been done. I’d plan and get my hopes up for zero bags and feel blessed if something more comes to fruition.

Question: How likely is it to receive 2 QBs in one visit at FSH (via leather appt)? 1 male and 1 female bags. Thank you.

What you're saying doesn't make any sense, then. "Men's bags" meaning bags like the HAC, Allback, 40 cm Bolide/Plume, etc., aren't "quota" bags, so a "male and female" bag purchase would never be two quotas.

You can purchase a "men's" bag and a Birkin or Kelly in one appointment or a single visit, yes. In Paris but also most other places 🤷‍♂️

The Maxi Kelly is a bit of an outlier as I am seeing SAs here in Paris tell clients they need an appointment for it.

now tell that to all the people who gender-ize their bags (e.g. "I just got her", isn't she lovely", etc.)
I feel like this is a youthful mannerism stemming from queer culture. perhaps it has taken grip of the population as a whole but was started by “the youth”? My staff constantly refers to inanimate objects as “she” and I find it incredibly confusing. I could be wildly wrong though.

Interesting take...

Or maybe it is a personification from the person who possesses the object, and what they desire the object to be in relation to them. For example, most women label their bags as "she" because they may somehow think of the bag as their bestie or an extension of themselves. Besides, I have yet to see a woman call a bag "he"--or a man call his bag "she".

On the contrary, men historically have labeled their ships as "she" because it is thought of to be a possession or personified with the smoothness in which 'she' glides through the ocean.

Here is an article I found that attempts to explain the origin of such pronouns: https://www.getblend.com/blog/gender-inanimate-objects/#:~:text=Even in English, where we,from these old gender rules).

Interesting. Prior to reading TPF I have never heard a woman refer to her bag as “she”. Again, this may be something that I have just missed hearing (or maybe nobody in my circles thinks of their bags as best friends). But it is something I have noticed with increasing frequency amongst the younger generation (21-30).

I still don't understand this. If you go to H.com, there are clearly bags under "women" and "men" separately. For those arguing that there is no gender for bags, there's no gender for clothing as well, right? (Sorry, but I take a traditional/conservative view for bags and clothes; I think it is ok that we all have diverse perspectives.)

PS. My thread led to this new thread. Ha, I feel embarrassed. LOL

I think your initial question of 2 QBs in one appointment is leading us to a question mark here, given if you are speaking about a Birkin or a Kelly, a size 40 Kelly and a size 25 Kelly are not considered gendered bags, and are both quota. Do you mean a HAC? I've been told that's not a quota, so would not be relevant to your initial question.

If you are talking about bags Hermes considers "femme" bags or "homme" bags (e.g., Lindy, Della, Roulis, Herbag, Sac a Depeches), none of those are quota so not relevant to your initial question anyway.

I've taken my husband to my appointments in Paris, and even if he would want a bag for himself (he doesn't), it would not have been possible as he did not have the appointment.

It will depend on what each store decides a quota bag is. At the one we shop at, the Kelly messenger is a quota bag even though it’s technically a “men’s” bag

Haha, its ok! I think it leads to an interesting debate; so I'm glad it was moved to it's own thread. :P

Here, I edited your question. In that sense, it's not likely...but [as with anything Hermes] it is possible. Please see my post in the Paris thread.
Good luck with your trip.

Sorry I am getting off topic in a thread that was initially off topic.:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:
