Hello, Im new in the forum.. from Spain, so my English is not very well... I don't know if this question is ok here.I'm starting in the Hèrmes world and I would like to know if the stamp of the bag should match the number that appears on the receipt... I don't know if its a stupid question.

Truly, the craftsmanship on it is a marvel and even more beautiful without the distraction of the date stamp. However, I understand how this could be upsetting. Even though I have the paperwork, at a future date after I have left this earth the paperwork could become misplaced and without it the authenticity of my bag could be in question. It’s not really an issue I want my daughter to have to deal with after I’m gone as she is not as knowledgeable about Hermès tradition and craftsmanship, although I am working hard to bring her up to speed.

I just received a bag new from boutique without stamp as well. Very frustrating.

I literally freaked out for a good mins when I randomly tried to find the stamp on my B25 and nothing to be found….and I got it from my SA in NYC back in Feb. I’m a bit frustrated but oh well… what can I do? :confused1: At lease to me, I know I didn’t buy counterfeit product.

Thanks! I don’t have much knowledge on the date stamp part. I bought the bag directly from Paris recently in June but I thought it was more common to have U stamp now considering that there were daily deliveries of the bags to the stores in Paris. So that’s why I was wondering whether it’s normal that bags made in 2021 are still commonly distributed to the Paris stores :)

We will never know the mysteries of the H production and distribution schedules but it certainly isn’t a straight line between production and the sales floor. Regardless, we’ve seen folks buy brand new from the store with a three year prior stamp so nothing is surprising anymore.

Hi Everyone,
Hope someone can help me out. I just purchased a B25 from the store. Instead of a date stamp, it has a 2 line serial number, the first line has numbers and alphabet, the second line has two alphabet. The same numbers are shown on the receipt as well. Is Hermes moving away from a date stamp, or someone just forgot about it.

Hi. My Kelly 28 from the boutique also has a 2 line serial number, same numbers showing on the receipt as well.

My non-quota bags have the regular date stamps.

I’m new to H and just got my first k (a k25 fresh from boutique) this week and it is also without a date stamp? After almost flipping the bag over trying to look for it, I finally found the same 2 lines you describe.
I’m relieved that my bag isn’t the only one. .
