It is going to be very difficult for me to decide which CW...they are all so beautiful.
Thank you for taking the time to show us these origami versions.

My pleasure. Though I'm probably a little crazy, lol.

I agree, each CW is really beautiful—there doesn't seem to be a single bad one (in my humble opinion). Even after doing the origami, I'm still nowhere close to deciding!

Wow - lots of good work showing how the design folds. Every Hermes scarf leads a double life it seems to me; the content of the design and how they tie and fold. And how they tie and fold can force you into reconsidering a design you might have written off out hand ( I did this with La Maison des Oiseau Parleurs this season).

I wouldn't want all polka dot lovers to start feeling we don't love them! Polka dots are great - in the right place. So, as part of a design ( in the bandanas for instance) or on their own ( a few years back a plain polka dot was used as the backing of a maxi-twilly ) the results can be harmonious and handsome. But when they are plonked over a great design with no sensitivity to that design it can cause more than a bit of a 'yuk!' reaction.

Love to all here - dying to see more of that saddle ( yes with dots in the border!)……...

I hear ya. I have the original Ex Libris bandana in B/W and it has polka dots that work with the design pretty well.

and here's the reissue and it doesn't *look* like they went polka crazy....though I think there are some little dots there on the field.

With that fabulous blouse you really make that bandana work as a statement.

Interesting discussion! As a "wearer" rather than a "collector", how the scarf ties is primary to me. I'm open to nearly any subject matter, although I must admit to sensitivity about guns and deceased creatures. I don't think I'll ever own a Chasse en Inde, for example, even though it is very beautiful.

Every-which-way is the only way a scarf works for me.

I have a double-standard on hunting which I chastise myself for. Plumes, feathers-only depicting what are really feathers flying from poor birds i the act of being 'gonnas' (from the master and lover of all hunting Henri de Linares) but I can't do Chasse either and the animals in that never actually meet their end. Seriously, equestrian activities were first related to hunting or military disciplines so it would be difficult to stay perfectly PC and have many H-scarves.

hahaha- you're right HNN- the animals all look like they are laughing at him and he doesn't look like he could hit the side a of a barn with a 20 foot pole....

As for polka dots- I think they work sometimes (on the bandanas in small sizes that are integral to the overall design where the color is minimal and so pattern becomes very important) but yeah- polka dots slapped on top of Tropiques...ermmm...nope....

At first I thought it was crazy postmodern joke on climate change joke, Tropiques in snow, I had to blink

I think there is a place for everything. I still ove my Clic Clac en Pois and I totally love my Peg d'H en Bloc (prob too much empty space without). There's always something for everybody.

I know we've done this before but thank you for going to so much trouble and taking time to do this, not to mention sharing. Sooooo informative (even though I still have no clue as to which I most want because they're all very well thought out, and some similar to each other).

My favorite design so far is Acte III. So I decided to try and origami it, to see how it might tie. I got the idea from Maitai's blog... Also—thank you so much @yodaling1 for all your hard work!!

Only CWs 14, 15, and 16—being lighter colorations—did not print very well. But I thought the others were okay enough, and I really couldn't wait for real life pictures to decide which ones I might love, lol! I must also thank my friend for editing the CW numbers into the pictures, as I'm not too handy with Photoshop:flowers:

Aww- thank you Croisette! That one is Zebras. If you scroll back I bet the blue is the same as the blue BdG yodaling posted.

Nice! Love this one!
Many thanks, bunny!

Thank you sooo much, dear saranga. It helps a lot.

Thank you so much!
CW 05, 06 and 10 are my favorites so far - but won't be making a decision 'till I see them up close and personal!
