We both are right, Pegase. They only changed the hem/border and fabric. Dip dye would be ok for me, but washable
could be the rainproof structure and is less soft.

A little bird whispered into my ear... and if I understood correctly... the reedition of “Pani” is going to be in “washed silk”... (no impregnation) remember a few seasons back, they had big losanges in washed silk, they felt softer than the silk twill....

Does anyone else think the little goldenrod yellow-orange one in the second pic looks like zebras??

And now that I'm zooming in with my iPad, @HoneyLocks the Ex Libris is semi sheer. Aren't the CS scarves lightweight and semi sheer? The little mystery red one looks opaque (twill).

I'm thinking H making cotton bandanas would be a bit too low brow, but they do look semi-sheer. Can't see through my CS scarves though.

Washed silk is not any more machine washable than the normal twill but it could be the kind of 'chinese whispers' that have led people to think they could be. In fact, because I couldn't get makeup out of a dip dye I did wash it in my machine, twice in a row on wool/silks 20 degrees and it worked ad the scarf was fine but I have seen washed silk ruined in machines. The DD are already based on a different silk (flat) so that makes sense, just the texture of DDs but not actually DDs.

yes I thought that looked like a Les Zebras bandana as well when I zoomed in.

I do hope it's like a dip dye, they're the only 90's I use.....and I would be less sad that it's not a CSGM!

I am loving the Pani and hopeful that the similar colors as before are available. I have the 70 in the khaki, pink and green colorway and always wished it was larger. @papertiger is it your guess that it’s a silk 140?
In the early 80’s there were a few clothing companies that made machine washable silk clothing, (Go Silk and Henry Lehr come to mind) and the drape was similar to dip dyes. The garments washed beautifully in the machine and popped right in the dryer. I would still hand wash a scarf but it’s nice to know it would be colorfast.

The Panis this fall are 90 cm.

My guess was based in that on a press release '90s' were marked 90 and the very geometric scarves were marked '70s'. The Pani were not marked at all for size. I think we have to look at the photos of the wall bars and go with our best judgement. I also can't think of another scarf that has been issued in the same cw and size but some people have been collecting far longer than than me (around 10 years) and so perhaps they would know exceptions.
