Scarves Hermès Autumn/Fall Winter 2018 Scarves

Ok- that makes at least logical sense, if nothing else. So far I've seen BR, LM and GR and my Zebres is BE. I just ignore them because they seem to make even less sense this time.



I must have missed it.... I do think they did a better job this season than last at making the scarves in similar color family name not as obvious to the point where it's like buying a duplicate scarf. For example, CW 12 of ACTE III is the BR color family so I guess that is British, and CB's Tour du Monde is BR but looks different enough to where it would at least still be in the running if you wanted both.

I wonder if the color families have to do with sports teams this year? (That would explain why it makes no sense to me. I just don't do sports...) They made a pretty big deal about the "choosing your team" and the table soccer game (sorry, I just can't remember what that game is called!)

I can’t remember all the color group names, but one is “Mediterranee” and another is “Veggie”. I think they started doing it for the Spring ‘18 scarves.

I recall the spring ones DJ, VE, ME, PU and the discussion in the Spring thread. Did they carry those acronyms to Fall as well? BR was definitely not in the spring scarves and I don't recall the LM and BE either so they must have added on or changed over for the new season.

I don’t know if they’ve carried those acronyms over to the fall scarves. I’ve ignored the whole thing, mostly because they mean nothing to me personally.

Yeah- totally agree with you there.... they make even less sense for the fall. But hey- it's their ink to spend!

Thanks for posting this, cherryblossum! I love the little details on this scarf - I’m usually a sucker for Pierre Marie. This might be my one pick of the season, especially since it comes in some nice cws! It might be nice to be able to whip it off and play the game with my kidlet if we’re waiting in a long line. Especially if we run out of juice on my phone, lol. And especially if I run out of juice on my phone while in line for an H sale, haha. Does the booklet detail the rules of the game?

As tied, Act III cw14 has the elegance of the black La Femme Aux Semelles de Vent cw08. Love the contrasting hem. Very, very pretty.

My first two purchases for Fall 2018
Baobob Cat - CW08 - not the colour initially had in mind when I tried on it on the store, this one really appealed to me.
Act III, - cw14 - I'm absolutely in love with this scarf once seeing in person. The detail and artistry is amazing! This cw I think looks much more grey on screen, but the lovely blues come out in real life. I can see wearing it with light grey, soft yellows, soft blues...
I also tried on Travers a Champ cw09 - while it was charming, and the pink and red colours very flattering for me, it didn't make my heart "sing" like the other two. So while this one was initially on my wish list, its now in a "maybe" category.
However, I did try Astrologie (the blue one with the black border, cw07 I think) and surprisingly liked it on me. I've liked photos of it here, but wasn't sure about it for me. So this could be a contender.
So many scarves, and I'm trying to be more selective, but I think this is going to be a hard season for me!

By the way, do we know what color family BR stands for? (@cherryblossum's green and purple based Tour du Monde 63.) Do we have a list of color families? I know I complain about them, but I am also intrigued, LOL! Doesn't H always suck you in somehow?
Does one of our cataloguers @yodaling1 @Angelian @bunnycat or @Hermes Nuttynut have a list of color families? Do these change by season or by calendar year?

BR is British (blue/green)
GR is Graffiti (black/multicolor)
BE is Beauty (pinks)

There's two more color families - Little Havana (green/yellow) and Faux Gris? Paging for @Angelian to fill in the details please.

So beautiful Cherry!!! I have not been too thrilled with this season's offerings which surprised me since I generally prefer the AW collections to the SS. However, this may be the one 90 that I have to get. The colorway is so luscious and the design is perfect for a lover of travel.

Out of this season, this is the only design that has caught my eye. I wait with baited breath to see the colourways and photographs.

Yes!!! The Marine came home with me the other day too! The minute I put this on I knew I needed it...goes with just about everything!

I have mentioned in an earlier post here that the cw online is incorrect.

Cw 01 is more muted in comparison to cw 03 that is more pop. I hope this helps anyone who is considering this silk or ordering it online.

@litchi Still no signs of the three designs in washable silks at my store. Sorry!
