Austin is bigger than people think and a lot of people in tech are moving to Austin from California. There is most definitely a market for Hermes in Austin. Why they decided on Congress is another story. That street is full of funky shops and is really laid back. I can’t imagine H over there but I’m sure it will end up fabulousoh wow Austin is big enough for a Hermes Store. Interesting.
Thank you for your insight. I haven't been to Austin in years. You are so right about alot of people coming from California to Austin for the tech industry.Austin is bigger than people think and a lot of people in tech are moving to Austin from California. We haven’t been in some time either, but my sis lives in Austin. I’m trying to get her to go to the opening heheThank you for your insight. I haven't been to Austin in years. You are so right about alot of people coming from California to Austin for the tech industry.
They’ve done items other than scarves before. Unique limited bag charms, calvis with special heat stamps, Hawaii even had a special pineapple handbag with only five units made and a LE surfboard print garden party bag. Perhaps since it’s Austin, they felt scarves were too formal and are going for a different item instead.I have some disappointing info from my store today…unfortunately, there will not be a scarf specifically for the opening of the Austin store. Additionally, my SA said the opening has been pushed to Saturday, April 30.
