I just (5 minutes ago) picked up a beauty on eBay. New seller, so the price was low ($91). It is the Carlyle Satchel (Ebay pics):

Got another pre-loved Bendel bag from eBay. Now, it is reloved by me. It is a sizable, roomy Number 7 bag in soft (lamb?) quilted black leather.

Congrats on getting such a good deal !!
I love the style of the Carlyle Satchel, but I keep waiting for when they'll release it in soft leather, not caviar embossed. So far no luck, they keep coming out with more and more colors and combinations of the caviar leather :-/
What's up with Pina Ferlisi, their creative director? Some variety in leathers would be nice.

But seriously, congrats on your gorgeous bag!!

I can't remember if I wrote back to this or not but, they did the Carlyle in soft calf leather maybe a year ago in some darker colors, they looked great but didn't keep the shape of the bag, as far as I saw

From what I googled earlier, yes they did have softer leather but it was east west carlyle tote (it's much bigger). Satchels (smaller ones) are constantly in caviar leather. I'll keep on waiting and I don't mind that it won't keep shape, I just want a softer leather.

A friend of mine is an intern at the New York offices I can ask her if there is any car lyles coming out for fall in soft leather for the satchel, I don't know if she's able to say anything but if she can I'll re post!

My gosh! Thank you so much, 123siah!! That would be great. I even contacted Henri several times, but as you can imagine I get a pretty standard response.
I keep visiting the website and boutique every now and then to make sure I don't miss it if/when it comes out :)
The SA at the boutique said that they probably will release it in a softer leather, she doesn't see why they wouldn't. I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Henri Bendel let's a small amount of fashion insiders and bloggers into a party that shows all the new products for the next season, if you google chic inspector then hit imagines you'll be able to see some pics of the fall line.

I am familiar with chic inspector, that's how I learned there will be red, yellow and off white Carlyle satchel in the last release :)
I'll have to check them out again, maybe I'll see something promising :)
