HELP ~ YG or WG MOP 20 motif Alhambra?

Congrats on your decision....I made the same choice and ordered the MOP with yg.
I wound up ordering two 10 motif necklaces based on some great advice I read here.... You really have four options by ordering two 10's...
1)wear one as a single.....(lovely). Imagine how pretty this will look..even with a simple crew necked t-shirt or sweater....or a strapless dress.
2)wear both singles together (they lay better than the long 20 version wrapped twice...plus it won't slide and choke you)
3)wear the two linked together as a 20 motif
4)wear as a 20 motif, wrapped around the neck twice..varying the length.

I just purchased the ear clips (same size motifs as the necklace) and plan to wear them with one 10 motif strand....a lot.

Now I need to resolve the turquoise/yg vs wg option....not that I need a second one...or any more enabling :)

ok, so i walked in and fortunately they had both yg and wg for me to try on. i made sure to wear my black theory juin tee because i know both metals would go with it. i put on the wg and it looked nice. very nice. crisp, young, fun. then, i put on the yg and got a reaction from myself - i thought WOW! it was so rich and warm and dressy. maybe because i'm a leo, i love all that rich, luxurious stuff like velvet and silk and now as i get older - yellow and rose gold.

i even did the wrap around for the double short look and even more so, i love the yg.

so, in the end, i choose yg!!! i gotta go with my heart!

now i just need to figure out if i want to go 2 - 10 motifs or 20 motif...

great analysis, texasgirliegirl! there are lots of ways to wear 2 - 10, especially since i do have the 5 motif bracelet to also add even more variations! but will the clasps showing bother me??? will i really wear one row (or would i just double up anyway?) i really can't decide! the boutique didn't have 2 - 10's for me to try on...grrrr!

i really go back and forth on the 2 - 10 vs 20...

And I am a HUGE white metal fan...
The MOP looks SO much better with yellow gold. I NEVER thought I would EVER say that!!!

Hi Kim,

Honestly, I drove myself crazy with this decision for at least a week.
The clasp is so tiny and subtle, it did not bother me. What helped me decide was the option to wear the 10 individually. For slightly over, 10K, this was important to me.

i woke up at 4am and thought about the clasp issue. eventually i was able to go back to sleep.

even though i'm the type of person who would not like the clasps showing, i really need a 10 motif short option. i showed DH a pic of someone with clasp showing and he said that he didn't notice until i pointed it out. i think in time the clasps won't bother me. so after i concluded that i would go with 2 - 10s i fell back asleep. crazy woman to lose sleep over jewelry!!!

Kim! Great choice... It sounds like you followed your heart and that is all that counts... If it makes you just gasp you need to get that one!! That's how i felt about the earrings... I get excited every time I think of them! Haha lol that you were losing sleep! Honestly you can see the clasp in some of my pics of the twenty motif and it really doesn't bother me... The clovers totally take centre stage on that necklace. I am not much of a short necklace Girl so I didn't need it but I really think you made the right choice!
