Glad the bag was able to be fixed. It's such a gorgeous color and leather. Hope we get to see some modeling pics of your recent RTW acquisitions. :smile:

Will do ! I’m in “holiday mode” .. just lounging out in pj thinking of what to cook next but will return to real life Monday so I’ll have to get out of pj at that time !!
I know re: bag .. I was so nervous about the bag and was already talking to myself .. if they can’t get it out it’s not the end if the world ... but inside I was holding my breath !
I just got a long champ pliage to bring around to work and throw around after this incident .. not exactly hermes .. but don’t feel nervous around hand sanitizer as much :/

I keep a pump bottle in the cup holder in the center console and I can see myself doing something like that. I'm glad they were able to fix your lovely bag.

It was ready to be picked up 11/5 and I shipped it to my store on 10/2 so Impressive turn around . Of course Now I am SO scared of hand sanitizer !!

Hi, I recently came across your post and have the same stain on my Birkin epsom. Were you able to remove the stain? I'm so so so worried that it will be permanent; bringing it to the H store first thing tomorrow to get it shipped to Paris for repair, or do you recommend a bag spa?

I brought my black epsom Kelly sellier and Carol said that she did not recommend sending it to the spa because it was so minor. However, my OCD could not stop seeing. Sooooo, I did the unthinkable and dabbed a tiny bit of black shoe polish on it and the stain disappeared! I dabbed a Q-tip tip of black polish and Voila, gone. I could see a difference in color initially and I thought I ruined the bag. But over a few months, there is absolutely no discernible flaw in my bag.

My birkin is in etoupe epsom... probably no colour that I have on hand that could be painted over :doh: please let me know if you have any other recommendations.

I would leave well alone until you take it in to the Boutique.
You may make matters worse by trying to fix it.

Hi all,

I’m in kind of a similar predicament with my black togo bag. No idea where it came from but I noticed this white streak on it. I brought it to the boutique and my SA said it’s so minor and to take a cloth to wipe it, but the leather is so dry I feel like it needs a little moisture to get it off. She said water is a no…. Based on what I’m reading I’m guessing baby wipes are a no too? What do you all use to get very minors stains off ?
I’m inclined to take a damp paper towel and wipe it but scared !
