I was on ban for another handbag as well... but seeing that National Handbag is coming up...I decided to celebrate! Just ordered a Kate Spade and matching wallet. I hope it comes on 10/10... that would be fab! Xo

I am loving national handbag day. When my BF asked how one celebrates, I told him it is traditional to go onto the Hermes site and and buy your significant other the bag of his/her choosing. He seemed less keen on celebrating after that ;)

I also celebrated prematurely for National Handbag day and my birthday, that is tomorrow, with all the 11 bags that I got this Jul Aug! Excited for my first NHB day! I am now on a self declared ban and will celebrate by carrying a Zanellato Postina lampara.

This is such an amazing idea to celebrate National Handbag's Day, simply love it!!!!!

But I won't join the celebration by buying a new bag because I'm saving money for the bags of Chanel's upcoming Cruise collection... sooo many amazing colours... Need to hold myself back until then :D:D:D So I will celebrate my love for handbags with getting one or two from Cruise ;)

I cannot emphasize enough how much I love reading PB and going through tPF, sharing my bag joy and love with others who can understand me. Different lifestyles, different industries, different nationalities, different genders... all coming together to celebrate their love and appreciation of handbags. It might sound shallow or silly to some people - but that's why I love PB and tPF. People here just GET it, you know? Incredibly intelligent and talented people can love purses/bags too, you know :p

I got a few goodies for National Handbag Day! Will be using them on Friday. :smile1: The key rings I actually ordered before I even knew about National Handbag Day, but since they arrived just in time for it, I thought they might as well be part of the festivities :p I find it cute that the Furla key ring even has a tiny dust bag of its own, similar to my Furla bags' dust bags :D


The handbags are the Ralph Lauren Newbury Double-Zip Shopper in Port, and the Furla Martha Saffiano Medium Satchel in Rugiada. I mentioned in my prior post that the bags I was eyeing reflect my current philosophy as far as my love of handbags goes - it doesn't necessarily have to be expensive, just well-made, of high quality, in a color I like, and one that I will use and not just stare at ;) These two definitely fit that description. I am supposed to be on a strict bag ban, especially given our expected expenses for our one-month Asian trip/vacation this coming December-January, but I couldn't resist celebrating National Handbag Day!
