Help to Choose - Evelyne or Picotin

I think it depends on what you're looking for and what type of bag you carry. Do you like cross body bags? Do you prefer hand carry or shoulder carry? Do you plan to carry a lot of stuff in it?

I have an Evelyne because I wanted a casual shoulder carry bag so that I could have my hands free. Pico is cute but small for my needs and I don't love the wide open top. However, I think the Pico is way cuter and if I didn't have kids, its the one I would prefer. With kids, I like the Evy just because of the hands free option.

Hi all - I am a newbie to H and about to take the plunge! Am considering between the Picotin GM in Prune and Evelyne GM in Raisin.

I have no kids yet but planning to have in the year to come. Currently I have Celine Trapeze and Box..

What would u choose and Why? :)) Thanks everyone in advance!

I love the GM evelyne particularly with a toddler. I'm able to carry a changing pad and diapers as well as some basics, and love the outside pocket for car key, phone and sunglasses. I too thought it looked big on the shelf and when I tried it on in the store empty (I'm about 5'6"), but the pm was too small when I put all my stuff in it. The GM fits everything and also looks proportional when there's stuff in it (vs empty). Raisin was on my list!

Hi all!

I just went to try on the Evie and the Pico - Somehow i looked so much better with the Pico GM - The top is soft and so it closes the top - quite good for me actually!

Reveal coming up!!

I have the TGM EVELYNE in Clemence leather and it is, without a doubt, my favorite Hermes bag:
•My hands are free.
•The depth makes it very safe to carry crossbody in the city.
(My personal preference in bags is cross body models.)
•The chameleon insert also fits easily.
•Back pocket is so convenient for my iPhone and keys.

The Picotin is "cute" but not practical, as the top is wide open, you'll need to carry it in your hand, or on your arm.

Yay! Congrats Sarah! I look forward to your reveal! I have a MM Pico and a PM Evie and love them both dearly. I think you will really like your Pico too. If you ever decide to add an Evie you will really enjoy one~for me PM is preferrable. They are so convenient. :D I use a small drawstring bag inside my Pico and I am never worried about anyone getting in it. I tie the drawstring so tightly that no one could just reach in without some major untying! Enjoy!!:smile1:

Can't wait to see the photos, sarah7487!! I tried a GM picotin for the first time last month, and it's a gorgeous bag! I bought the MM, because I'm quite short and it suited me better. Congrats on your first H bag!

Evelyne GM. I have one and it is a great travel/mommy bag. It is so versatile and so roomy.

I have a 2 yr old and carry a separate little backpack for her. I do notwant juice spilling into the raw lining!!

Picotin looks bleh to me. I find the Evelyne much more interesting.

I have a GM Pico, love it and use it a lot, even more than my B. I get lots of compliments, especially when I use it with the sides inverted. Looking forward to your reveal :smile1:

You can always buy the Evelyne in the future should the need arise. :smile1: We all know 1 (...or 2...or 3...) handbag is never enough...;) Congrats!
