I think the European private sales are equivalent to a US/Canada pre-sale except for that I believe, in a pre-sale the cc numbers are taken but not charged until the sale begins so that the piece may be sold at full price to a regular customer but is merely reserved.
This year they seemed to have waved that in-store and are letting customers take their items home straight away.

In the private sales, a list is sent to all SAs and the discounted items are taken to a back room or out of sight and the (especially invited) customer is invited to look through the list or shown the items which they can pick fro, pay for and take away immediately.

I've been to the private sale already so it can't be long now (sorry, I forget to ask).

Normally it starts on a Saturday so it could be tomorrow. If you ring any Gucci store they will tell you, it's not regarded as a secret.

I don't see the yellow but I do the exclusive aqua. I wouldn't wait if there is a specific bag you're looking for.

Couldn't you buy it from the Austrian site and give your usual address. By law there should be no trade barriers between EU countries or shoppers?
