You are so right. The N/S Hamilton looks like a suitcase more than a purse! It totally over powers any outfit and will make you look like a suitcase with two legs! lol! The E/W isn't so bad and even looks pretty good, but that N/S is just way too big. I imagine it would be great as a carry on for traveling, but that's about it, Every time I see someone wearing the N/S I just shake my head. It is just too much. I can't even see the rest of their outfit. Way too big, IMHO.

The Hamilton satchel is a better choice than the N/S, I agree, but it still doesn't have the outer pocket. While the center zip divider is nice, the bag still doesn't close on the top. You have to close it with the magnetic snap. That center snap distorts the shape of the bag when it is closed. It just doesn't look right to me. IMO the Riley just blows it away. I would have no trouble deciding at all! lol! I guess it all depends on your needs and what you like, as always.+1
I like the look of the Riley a bit more than the e/w Hamilton. That soft leather is gorgeous, and I like that it is more roomy, has a top zip, and an outer pocket. I'll be taking a second look at the Riley when the fall colors come out. I think I'm going to have lots of trouble choosing between a large Riley and a large Hamilton satchel.

Oh sorry I missed that. I am always a day late and a dollar short! lol!I think it depends what size you order as to the colors available. On ebay I see them in Chili red,, pale blue, peanut, , watermelon, fuchsia, black, optic white and even a sand color python embossed Riley. Hope you are enjoying your Hamilton. I know that many other ladies just love them. The Hamilton and Selma are two top selling bags from MK. Did you get the E/W?
I totally understand. I have to admit that at 5'11'' tall, I'm probably one of the few people who the large n/s Hamilton tote fits to a tee. The regular (medium) e/w Hamilton satchel is too small for my frame. The large Hamilton satchel fits me perfectly, as well.
Both the large n/s Hamilton tote and large Hamilton satchel work for me.
I own two n/s Hamilton totes and will have to decide whether to get a large Hamilton satchel or a large Riley. Decisions...decisions...decisions. I think it will all depend on what colors they come in this fall. I'm not interested in any of the colors currently available.It must be nice to be that tall! I will never know. The only way I will grow any more, is outward! lol! All my pants and dresses have to be hemmed. I have a step stool in my kitchen just to reach the top shelf of my cabinets! WHAT a pain! Yesterday, I tripped getting off the step stool and ended up at Urgent Care with a dislocated pinky! OUCH! It still hurts! lol! So be glad you are nice and tall.
Lol walking suitcase I agree. My boyfriend sister has two one in red and the other yellow. Those things are huge I did a mod shot with one and its just too much! Yes I chose the EW Hamilton
I may wait until fall if more colors are released for Riley. I absolutely do not like the selma bags not sure why lol they just dont appeal to me. However I do want an everyday bag in black and I'm thinking Cindy will be perfect!
Thanks Ubo. I have to wear this splint and can't even do the dishes! How awful is that?? lol! Plus the doctor gave me some pain meds, so now I can't even drive my car or go grocery shopping, so we have to order out. This is a real disaster. I think I will do it again! lol!OUCH!
