HELP - purchasing my first Rolex!

I think the pink dial is fine with your ring. I absolutely love the choc. and tt everose. I am debating now on an all everose with choc. or mop dial for myself...honestly, cannot decide! I don’t think I’ve ever seen the bronze IRL. How does it compare with the choc?

The bronze to me had a darker, more sheen to it, more classy overall. But not quite black. The chocolate, even with the everose romans on dial was not as bright. On my skin, at least. Yours is obviously different. You probably should see it on you to get a feel of both.

I honestly had that everose on chocolate as my first ever option, but when I put it on , it did not make my heart skip a beat ;) , so to speak.

I like the MOP better than chocolate personally. But the white MOP tend to look white from another person’s point of view. And my longines had white face already and my tag had MOP- so MOP was out. Just my opinion really, based on what I have seen.

UNLESS, it’s coloured MOP. Now that would be awesome! I haven’t seen one though in the flesh.

Hi all Rolex lovers!

I am purchasing my first ever Rolex. I currently have a SS longines and 2-T tag ladies aquaracer. I have always wanted a rolex. I have made good stride in my career and thought what better way to mark this than get my dream rolex!

After looking at different watches in different ADs, I pretty much have decided on the 31mm, fluted bezel and jubilee bracelet. Problem is, can’t decide on the dial .

I have the all-too-familiar dilemma. What should I choose?
1. SS with bronze dial (technically, this is 2-tone as the bezel is white gold, but for this purpose, I just put in SS)
2. 2-T everose gold with pink champagne dial diamond.

HELP! Any opinions will be much appreciated!

P.S I have posted pics below. For reference, I’m quite small, 4’10, 98 lbs but still prefer the 31mm.
Love the SS with bronze (your first photo). It’s very understatedly yet elegant.

I love the everose TT on you more than the stainless steel. I had the same dilemma before and really love the sundust dial. The sundust only comes in 28 and 41 however, so I was left with pink dial vs silver dial. I ended up picking the silver dial because I didn’t want too much pink, too feminine for me. The only other one that you might want to consider is the white dial. Rose gold and white actually go well together. But it depends whether you like the sunburst effect vs one dimension dial. White might be too stark for some people but it looks pretty clean to me. My next Rolex I might get a white dial. Whatever you choose, I vote TT whether it’s rose gold or yellow gold. Good luck!

The SS/WG with pink Roman numeral is the same combination I bought for my second Rolex. It’s really nice. There’s also Pink MOP on that model. You might want to check it out but after comparing the White MOP and Pink MOP, I prefer the white. If it’s your first and only Rolex, go for TT in white MOP and diamond markers. You will be satisfied. [emoji4]

Thank you everyone for all your input!!

I couldn’t get that SS bronze dial off my mind. But I’m taking every one’s opinion onboard. I am now considering TT yellow gold as well as some have suggested. It does match my yellow jewelry - although ultimately, wouldn’t matter much to me. I have tried the MOP too ;)

Wish me luck in deciding - I am almost there!
(the chase is actually quite fun)!

In these latest pics, I think the two tone yellow gold harmonizes more nicely with your rings. Not sure you need the MOP though. I also have a TT Tag with MOP and diamond dial and I find that the Rolex MOP is a lot shinier and harder to read. It is pretty but, compared to the Tag MOP, I prefer the pink or silver dials on the TT yellow gold Rolexes.

I just had the opportunity to buy a DJ with MOP dial and also noticed it was very reflective and looked more blingy, not to mention harder to read because of the glare. Rolex colored dials are so pretty as it is. Both your choices are very nice but I have to agree that the TT works really well with your rings!

Two Tone watch looks great on you - and pairs nicely with your rings! But you are obviously a pink gal and the Everose did look very nice, too. Agree with the others - go with your gut and the one that calls to you most. There is no bad decision here. Can't wait to see which one you decide on!!

If it’s the only Rolex you will be getting, again, TT fluted bezel, jubilee bracelet and diamond markers would be the best choice.

By the way, I like the TT on you. Now compare the Roman Numeral and Diamond Markers side by side.

Hi perpetualgirl!

Thanks for a very honest reply. I have to admit I can’t get that bronze dial off my mind, but I have always been a “pinky”-sort of girl , so that’s where the dilemma comes from.

I have posted pics below - and would be happy if you can comment either way. Top is the bronze vs the everose 2-T and below is still the bronze but vs the pink dial in SS. Would you still prefer bronze?

TIA!

Hi Lilleput

May i know what watch size that you are trying?

Thanks!!

After much to-ing and fro-ing and soooo many months, I dragged DH with me to help me decide. His words to me - the simpler, the cleaner the lines, the more timeless it will be.

So I ended up buying the silver dial with sticks on the 31mm! I thought it was too plain when I saw it online- but Rolex is such an exquisite watch in the flesh, it really made obvious sense. So went home with it the first time I tried it on ❤️
