Hi!
I am pretty new to the forum and I am planning on getting my first Birkin. I live in NYC and I know that SA here will not sell to anyone that just walk in the door. I would like some SA recommendations. It doesn't have to be in NYC. It could be from Boston, DC, Chicago or NYC. Thanks sooo much. I am really excited!

Just walk into Madison. I saw my 30 choc in the display window (inside the store) by the door and i took it on the spot!

all the SAs are really nice. just avoid the tall caucasian lady who stares down at you. otherwise everybody is pretty helpful.

i just don't know what's up with her. i mean i didn't ask anything from her. and i surely didn't buy the whole store. Good thing she's the only one who's like that there.

i am just curious about who it is. they dont really bother with you too much there. mostly just ignore.......

as baileylab said, just walk in and ask. from what i've been told, there is no longer a waiting list (although perhaps the really desirable colors are reserved for good customers). i've been shown a B or K every time i've asked.

there is one blonde SA that doesn't seem great. there were a couple of instances when all she did was model bags and ooh & aah over herself in the mirror. mind you these bags are neither a new style nor a new color, so i couldn't see why she couldn't be bothered to help a customer instead.

I live across the country but was given George's name at the Madisson store. He was wonderful to deal with and finally got several items that I'd been waiting for forever. Love that charge/send!

yes I agree that you just walk in and ask if they happened to have a birkin, well maybe you could start by surveying around looking for one best SA to serves you ..and you can ask her after a few tries on other bags.. I actually checked with H Japan, the SA there said that they no longer have the waitlist and they will sell any birkin they happen to have in their store. So try and try a few other H if is convenient to you

I just came back from a trip to NYC. I managed to swing by the H Madison store twice and was helped by a wonderful SA named Anita both times. It was my first time visiting the store and she made the experience extremely wonderful. On my second visit, as Anita was helping me with my second purchase, I conversed with other SAs and they were also super nice. I'm glad I didn't run into any snotty SAs who could have marred my shopping trips to H. BTW, I was a walk in and managed to snag HG bags.

P.S. I missed out on Wall Street, which was well and good. I didn't know that store was closed on the weekends and I made the trip out there on Saturday before our return flight.

Also, I heard that Madison gets 2 shipments, morning and afternoon per day, 3-4 times per week. Wow!!! I think they're getting double of what we get in the west coast (and wished all those orange boxes had my name on them...wishful thinking).

Some SA's are very snobby indeed. Which part of "customer is king" don't they understand??. They need a reality check that our $$ goes to their paycheck. PERIOD.:graucho::graucho::graucho:

i think they're taking being SAs a bit too far. sort of like a control freak thing. a very nasty person sadistically dangling a carrot in front of a hungry rabbit.
