Help! No Birkins in Paris!!!

Glad u found the birkin for your wife & Happy 25th Anniversary!
But it just goes to show the primary pre-requisite to be a Hermes SA is the ability and willingness to lie! I read many customers' persistence paid off after repeated visits to H store and after repeatedly being told there is no birkin but were "kindly" bestowed with 1 suddenly in the next instant when the "conscience" struck the SA or when the SA finally deemed u r worthy enough! The process/effort of shopping for a bag and having to put up with the lies are just so wrong.....

Persistent huh? I guesses since there arent that many birkins anyway, might as sell it to someone they really really 'deserve' it ..means truly appreciates it..right?

I have tried to attach a photo of the bag but for some reason the attachment does upload. it is the same color as the same bag being put together in the Hermes - Le Monde D'Hermesprintemps - ete 2011 catalog that was in the store.
It's quite clear from this story that you will only be offered a birkin if you buy something else first! So typical!

I'm going to Paris next week. There are a few H shops in Paris and wonder which Hermes shops will give me a better chance to get a Birkin bag. Will it be possible to get the birkin or Kelly bag at the airport?

Was in paris last week and they had a big delivery to FSH on wednesday. Birkins all over the shop being snapped up by tourists. This was about 1430. Consequent days werent as busy, I did see some random kellys being sold. As of saturday there were no birkins/kellys/constances; just kelly pochettes was what I was told (but who knows?!)
Georges V is usually busy at 1400, waiting for SAs post-lunch, they didnt seem to have very much there but you never know.
Rue de Sevres only had SLGs, mainly maison but such a beautiful shop you just have to visit if you have the time.
Terminal 2 had lindys, so kelly, gp in toile & leather, jypsieres and evelynes. Mostly in neutral colours but as Lyanna said earlier, no Bs/Ks.
In short, go to FSH. Be lucky and grab one there and then. If all else fails, you can ask if they will put your name down for one.
