I think that this setting is simple, classic and timeless. This style will lend itself to stacking against other rings. If you are concerned about the colour of the three stones, it may be worth getting your jeweller to appraise them for you prior to committing to a new setting. Ultimately, I think you should feel that the setting and the stones are perfect for you, and the work be carried out by a jeweller that you trust xx

That setting looks a little dated to me. The Whiteflash setting is just the setting with no stones.

I prefer less prongs and I agree with your jeweler on how you describe the prongs.

I guess I'm old fashioned for a 28 year old because I prefer the basic 3 stone setting, I'm not really fond of contemporary jewelry for myself...

The center diamond is set in yellow gold which I think makes it take on a yellowish hue. While the studs are set in a white gold basket setting so they don't. All the stones are in fact white and pretty much the same color. I just find it hard to photograph diamonds with an iPhone, I need macro!

Ahhh I see it now, I figured it was the lighting but I thought I would mention it. The outside lighting definitely makes it sparkle!!:loveeyes::loveeyes:

My jeweler found this setting, it was a custom mounting that wasn't picked up. It's 18kt yellow gold with a platinum 6 prong head... It's more then I wanted to pay, but it's almost exactly what I wanted, so I bought it!6 prong center stone sitting high with the 4 prong sides!!! I already had him set my side stones!!! Now I'm trying to decide if I'm going to put my 1ct in the center or spring for a 1 1/4ct!!! It's gorgeous! I can't wait to wear the finished product!
