I have heard many positive experiences in my personal life about Blue Nile, while I have heard of White Flash only through this site. I did speak with a representative from White Flash today, and she said I could have them by Saturday.

I had a great deal of issue with them for their workmanship and total lack of actual customer service. Mind you, this was not for earrings. I am assuming their ready-set studs are probably set in "Stock" mountings that are not hand-made or cast by them since they are already premade. That's not to say they would be perfect, but I have rarely read of issues with the earring settings on the RSG earrings.

I would get the best cut you can. I would pick the bezel set studs- the bezel makes things look larger as well, but I just have a thing for bezel anything. The bezel pair for Whiteflash didn't look like a bad buy for the money.

They are the ready made earrings- but she is requesting screwbacks.

How about these? They also come in light yellow which is interesting.

I know this guy is reputable. Of course princess will be smaller than rounds.

Of the pairs listed, I would go with Blue Nile but not bezel; I personally don't like bezel, I think it shuts out some of the light.
I think all three possibilities you mentioned will be way better than small stores but not as nice as any of the three company's stones that you pick out yourself. But this price range doesn't allow that. the only ones I've seen in person of the company's listed of the ready-set stones are blue nile's which I thought were fine (a friend bought her daughter a set last yet). Maybe go with the .40's since they are the biggest pair, since I don't think any are going to be much better than the others performance wise?

Is your friend picky? Was the pair she lost very special?

I think those princess cuts are nice. I will tell her about them. She is not picky, however, I am :p. This is why she trusted me with helping her make this decision. I love jewelry; while she has some knowledge, I know a little bit more about the subject. I also know you girls would not steer me wrong with helping me find the perfect pair for her.

I do not know if that particular pair had sentimental value or if it was just because she wore them everyday. She bought them from the same person she bought her engagement ring from years ago. Unfortunately, this person retired. So, she came to me for some advice.
