help!!! need advice on engagement ring!!!

I agree with most that you should get the cushion w/o baguettes. If you really want the micropave on your engagement ring, as well as the wedding band, imho it has enough going on as is. I would suggest that you consider having the stone set higher, so that the bands fit together better, but you have to decide if it would get in your way too much (the lower the profile, the easier daily wear is). I have a very similar ring in an oval cushion with baguettes set east/west on either side on a plain band and I love it. I wear it with a pave eternity ring, but they don't fit flat together and it bugs me sometimes. Also, even though the solitaire's band is platinum, the pave ring causes some scratching on the sides which I have to have polished out. The rings are both beautiful, so you really can't go wrong...and congratulations:happydance: btw!
