Help me upgrade my wardrobe: key designer pieces?

I have this Burberry T-shirt too It's a nice basic piece, casual, but with a bit of 'designer twist' .. The same goes for their polo shirts

For a start I'd suggest some simple neutral high quality pieces, such as monochrome sweaters (eg. Max Mara or Ralph Lauren), shirts, a cashmere scarf, maybe some statement fashion jewelry pieces to complete te look (Hermes or Chanel bracelet etc.)...
