First : I will say it a million times as loud as can be: DO NOT BUY A SETTING FROM WHITEFLASH. They have the most shoddy workmanship of any jeweler I have ever encountered. As for the "tons of happy customers on Pricescope" comments: Just because there are no unhappy posts on there doesn't mean there aren't any. They don't hang around on there very long because if you dare to offend or negate their prized #1 advertiser, don't expect that your post won't be either edited or removed. And you will be climbed all over and bashed to hell for daring to post your expeirence. So...for what it's worth: stay away. It took them 7 tries before we finally got them to FINALLY refund our money. They all kept cracking.
Secondly: As long as you can get your money back and start scratch go for it. I totally know what you mean about higher settings and higher profiles. I like my rings to sit flush. And if they don't the setting won't work. I am in fact RIGHT NOW returning my Vatche for hopefully a redo as the setting they sent me doesn't match the images and measurements we got from them, it's WAY low-set and too squat and my wedding band--even with a spacer between the e-ring and wedding band--still scratched the head. I like high, I think low looks cheap and that's how I feel. I paid a LOT of money for that setting and I want it how I asked for it.
