Thank you everyone! I decided to go w/the Cabas Mezzo and ordered it through Eluxury (no tax and free shipping!). And now I can hit myself for not thinking of this before the price hike. I liked the Luco too, but realized Mezzo will fit a lot more. Thanks for your advice :D

I've always liked the Cabas Mezzo and it looks great on Angelina. She wears it all the time, and LV should seriously pay her (she does a beautiful job as St. John's model and spokesperson).

Put some Shiningmonkey on the bottom and you're set to go! Apparently it prevents all sorts of moisture stains, and you will still get that lovely patina. There is a thread where you can read up on Shiningmonkey, just search for it.

I'm not a huge fan of the Luco tote. It's huge and structured. One of my classmates has one and she looks very awkward with it (plus the fact that she's obese and it juts off her abdomen).

The Cabas is much more elegant. Just look at Angelina carrying it and you will see what I mean. :)

I had my little girl in Nov 04. My husband bought me the MG mini diaper bag which I have to say I still use now. It's a shoulder bag that fits over a push chair and has pockets and pouches for everything plus a cute changing mat. I've got a speedy 30 and I don't think I've ever used it when out with baby.

I was just having this debate with myself earlier today since I am returning my Paddington, and I had decided that if I buy an LV (I currently don't own any) it would definitely be the Mezzo. I think it will be a beautiful bag to have with baby. Does the vachetta cover the entire bottom of the bag, or just the corners? Does anyone know what the price was before they raised them this week?

I totally agree...the Mezzo is a great bag for Mummy! :nuts:

I have the Mezzo & it's PERFECT as a diaper bag! :smile1: though I no longer use it as diaper bag anymore...:amuse:

The Luco is much thinner in width, lined in suede/alcantra and has little pockets for pens & stuff...more suitable as an office bag IMO.

I really like the mezzo, it's the perfect shoulder bag which would probably be what you're looking for if you found the pap kind of a hassle. Doesn't Angelina look smashing with hers ?

Thank you everyone! I can't wait til it arrives. The bottom does worry me a bit, but I'll just make sure I don't toss it down a dirty floor. I will definitely post a pic of it once it arrives :amuse:
