I like them all. Guess that doesn't help

I've always liked Rolex. Used to have one that I LOVED for years and sadly had to sell it a while back. I always said I'd get another eventually. Now I have a fiance who collects watches and doesn't like Rolexes as much and owns several nice watches but won't buy a Rolex. He said he wants to buy me a watch. And every one I tend to like the most is Rolex, so maybe that means he'll never buy me a watch. :shrugs:

Anyway, I'd suggest you try them all on and see how they look on you. Just from looks in the pics, I'd probably pick either the second or third Rolex.

i like them all too and its so difficult to choose. Thank you all for giving me your opinions!

Thanks for all the replies, please keep them coming!

For now, i would say that Rolex is 60% and Omega is 40% after looking at all the comments and consulting some watch collectors.

However, its still a difficult choice to make. Omega seamaster is simple, less costly and i would think it fit as a daily casual wear.

As for Rolex, for the oyster perpetual, there are so many choices,
1. Face colors
2. Size (i would go for mid size 30mm - 35mm)
3. Roman numbers or line representation

I would want to go for a design which is more classic, and suitable for both daily casual wear (jeans + t-shirt) and dressed up events. In addition, i am 23 years old so im looking for something which fits my age and at the same time a classic piece (or design) from Rolex/Omega. I'm so confused:D

Let me know what you all think. Thanks:smile1:

Rolex is a very reliable watch and it also hold it's value very well even in the resell market. Therefore, if I have to pick one I will definitely go for Rolex. I prefer the one with the white face in mid size :)

I would go with Rolex and the 31mm midsize with the white face. I think that is perfect size for you and what you are looking for because it will be perfect for all occasions. I am also petite and I love my 31mm, it is the perfect size without being overpowering on my small wrist.

Thanks for the reply, will definitely visit the store and try out the 31mm white face. However, my only concern would be the 31mm white face comes in roman numbers (according to Rolex website), which might look crowded on a 31mm.

I was all set to get the Omega AT and found out that in real life it looked like pretty much nothing on my wrist. Very disappointed because I respect the quality and think the new design is very nice.

I happen to not like the Roman numeral design shown on the 34mm Date. To me it's busy, and not as elegant as the simple classic Romans of the 31mm and 36mm. Also, if you go with the 34mm Date you have to have the Oyster bracelet, so that choice is made for you--may be your choice but it wasn't mine.

I like the black or the white 31mm (chose the white myself). Rolex's white is stunning and fresh. Good luck!

4. Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra

This isthe exact watch I have & I LOVE love love it. So, yes, I'm biased, but that's what I would choose. I prefer the look of it & the size & shape suit me perfectly. I also prefer the face of this over the rolex. If I were to buy a rolex, I'd get one in rose gold.

The first Rolex then the Omega! I prefer the simpler faces and the bands over the other two Rolexes. I also like arabic numbers on the Rolex over the roman. More casual, but still very nice.

From the pictures, the Aqua Terra is a quartz whereas the 3 Rolexes are automatic. Which do you prefer. AT comes in auto too. I have both, Rolex 26mm though as both are very different. I tend to baby the Rolex little more cause it's pricey and wear the AT almost daily. My SIL however has the Oyster Perpetual, exactly like the first pic and she wears it daily. She's thinking of a Datejust now.

If you have made up your mind on a Rolex, go for 31mm datejust. Throw in the roman numerals and it's a classic that lasts you a lifetime.

Good luck.

Out of the ones you posted, I like the first one the best.

I'm your age and I have the datejust II- white face 31 mm, oyster bracelet, smooth bezel with line (aka baton) markers. Bought August of 2010.

Take a look (slightly blurry, sorry):

I LOVE having the white face...it's such a clean, crisp look and the shade of white is perfect. The line markers look well-proportioned on the 31mm face too. Let me know what you think of this model! I highly recommend it and am soo glad I picked this combination...it's a subtle Rolex look for sure.
