I have just sold a goatskin red medium Mabel and this was magnetic.
These bags haven't been produced for a couple of years so I'd imagine thst yours is a special.
Is it goatskin though as it doesn't look like it?

Great colour! Like some others have said I think you can have either on the regular mabels. I'm not sure I would do up the buckle if mine had it instead of the magnetic fastening, but the colour is so great, I would live with it!

Hi Rachiem - it says it's "soft goatskin" on the label (whereas my Maggie is glazed goatskin or something). It has the same kind of durable finish though, which is perfect for me. Was your red mabel markedly different? I think mine must be an outlet special...

Goooooooorgeous!! She's lovely - I'm very envious! I called the outlets a few months ago looking for red and they told me there wasn't any and since it wasn't made anymore my only option was the second-hand market... You're lucky to have found her and she is so lovely my vote would be to definitely keep her :D

LittleMissBags, she is a lovely colour and goes so will with the black. :graucho:

It really is your choice though as Red is a very vibrant colour and something I could go off quite quickly. Also if you are really lusting over a different bags and can't get both I would really think about it especially if you are able to return it. The other bag may help you decide if you can see them together.:nuts:

It's a gorgeous bag :heart: and I suspect it will be far more robust than the mini patent Alexa, if that's any help?

I've got a large orange Mabel with a buckle rather than magnet closure. I thought it would bother me but, tbh, I just leave it loosely buckled all the time and then I can get into the bag without having to undo the strap. Lazy? Moi?! :lolots:

I hope you keep the red Mabel - it's stunning :yes:

Have you decided to keep it or not? Collected mine from the post office yesterday and its lovely - the leather is also goatskin but slightly less "pebbled/ textured" than yours and not as bright - quite a muted red. Much better for me as I already have a "blingey" mabel which I don;t use as much. This is a better colour to go with black/grey. really pleased with mine.

Thanks all for the comments. I'm not sure why I am not totally in :heart: with the bag, seeing as it is absolutely beautiful and a really stunning shade of red.

Tarababe - I think you have a good point about possibly going off the bag as it's a vibrant colour. I am not generally a "Pop" colour bag person but I do keep wanting to branch out!!

I went to see the mini leopard patent Alexa and it is completely gorgeous but I just can't justify that price tag, so pre-loved or outlet is the only option at the moment :smile1:

Numnut - did you buy the exact same bag? How are you finding it?
