What about this idea (feel free to pooh-pooh it :)): buy her an expensive cute bag made of leather (say in the range of $150-400) and a cute little handmade bag such as these two bags by indie designers (lots of examples but here are just two):

i personally think that no 16-year-old should be getting such expensive gift unless he/she earns it... or buy it with his/her own money... but she's not my kid so hehee...

i think LV's mono popincourt is very cute for a girly girl... but it's out of your price range $735...

so the next alternative is Dior's Trotter Romantique... I have always thought Dior is cute and girly... $575... there are a couple other version of this Trotter bag... more expensive but even girlier... :)

Dior's Logo Charms Canvas bag is also suitable for a 16 year old... $395... it's at the good size for someone who doesn't lug her entire life with her when she goes out...

Burberry's Nova Check Satchel is also young and chic... $495...

Depending on where she's from or not, she might be all about the 'labels'....I would think that the glasses and a Coach bag might be the right way to go. Otherwise...another juicy bag. Just one with more color. Sorry...no time to find pics...gotta go to my nephew's baby shower.

give her her first ever LV bag .. an accessories pochette its perfect for a sixteen yr old ... if im sixteen i would rather get something i will use 10yrs from now, and the first LV is unforgettable :) btw accessories pouch is way below your budget check out eluxury

Ok gals, I think I finally found what im going to get her.
What do you think about this her first Louis Vuitton, BTW she is my best friend since Kindergarten, so I feel that the gift is appropiate.
It is a pochette croissant for $590.00!:flowers:
