Hmm, of the three Mercer colors, this one probably is the most prone to staining or scratches due to the "velvety" texture of the leather. The chalk and black Mercer satchels have a smoother, shinier leather. I've carried the Chalk for 4 days straight now and no dirt or marks apparent.

I like the HH more. It has details that I like on it more and I really like the organizational feature of it. It also sits very comfortable on the shoulder.

I'm really enjoying hearing your thoughts and votes so far- thank you! So far, it seems like the GD has the most votes!

Now, I have another question:

As far as the GD, the one I like is the "Charlotte," right (the one in the picture)?

Now are there different sizes? What are the numbers I'm hearing about- 24? Does this denote the size of the Charlotte, or is it another bag entirely?

Unfortunately, I can't answer any of your specific questions regarding the bags. But I have eyeing both the GD & HH. My first choice would be the GD...so, I say, if you can get your hands on one get it. My second choice would then be the HH. I :love: them both, but for some reason the GD calls my name a little bit more.

Yes, the one in your picture is Charlotte 24 hour (also named drape). It's a good size for an everyday bag. There is a bigger size 36 hour, another size up is 48 hour. These are both huge, 48hr is more a weekend bag. 36hr is great for someone who carries a lot every day or use it as a school bag. 36hr has a flap so it looks a little differen than 24hr. Do a search within the pf, really you will get so much info on all the GD bags.
