If it only has Hermès Paris (no "Made in France") then I'm pretty sure it's older than 1979. I also think it's gorgeous, but I love vintage bags!
Thanks Duna - do you have any idea when they switched over?

1972 I think.I think it was in the early 1970's, but I stand to be corrected. I remember seeing it in an old thread, but I can't find it: I'm sure one of our experts will come to the rescue!
I recently had a problem where the bag that was sent to me was not the size as described in the eBay listing. I contacted the seller immediately and it was resolved immediately with my sending the bag bag and I received a refund and very profuse apologies from the seller.
So... if the listing for this bag was incorrect, you certainly have every right to ask for a refund. The problem is that the seller can be sticky and give you a hard time and place the responsibility upon you to prove the real age of the bag. This is rather difficult because Hermes will most likely not put this in writing for you. You can call Claude at the NYC boutique, email him a picture and see what he is willing to tell you. Or, you could send in the bag to him for a Spa treament and then discuss it with him. The second suggestion means you have kept the bag. It is really up to you to decide if you really want it and think it is worth what you paid for it. It was stunning looking in the pictures. Any issues with stitching can be resolved. Condition of the skins is another matter. Hope this helps.
This is the second time in less than a month that this seller has sent something to a buyer that didn't match the description.
